Is Ron Paul A Racist Conspiracy Theory Kook?

Featured Replies

I see from the BBC today that Ron Paul is 76 years old. Surely that should rule him out as a serious candidate?

In some ways I agree & would like it better if he were 20 years younger but.........

At the same time while age does not guarantee wisdom it does not rule it out either.

Look at Rick Perry he is 10+ years younger & could not even remember the three things he wants to do away with....

Ron Paul on the other hand is sharp as a tack & proves it regularly with his answers to questions on real issues.

But the main reason I am for him being president is no other has the credentials in the current line up.

NONE have any real knowledge of how money is created or the role of the FED Reserve in our monetary policy.

Lastly & maybe most importantly look at where the others get their campaign money from.

You think they or even Obama can raise that kind of money????

NO WAY

That money comes from the Too Big Too Fail.........It is all public record if you want to look it up.

Which is why with the exception of Paul it matters not whether a Dem or Repub is elected it will be business as usual.

As such we are surely headed for a massive depression which will affect the whole world because after all the USA does one thing best & that is consume...

Take that way & many will feel it world wide.

The only reason the USD is still the world reserve currency is because all other candidate countries are also in trouble now.

But there is the possibility still it could change if the world loses faith in the US ability to pay. Maybe an IMF world currency as the reserve currency?

With this depression is a strong possibility of a revolt/revolution..civil unrest

If not side tracked by WWIII which many if not all of the others are pushing for

through their trying to satisfy their lobbyist

But neither Iranian nor Western politicians want to tell the public that things could be this easy (if they are aware of the simple facts) because it is a useful tool for the politicians to posture and thus raise their profiles.

The Iranians want to develop nuclear weapons and are not going to cooperate with the IAEA. That is pretty "easy" to understand.

The trouble with an old president is that the position of Vice-President becomes more important. If people like Spiro Agnew, Dan Quayle, and even Joe Biden are a heartbeat from the presidency... well, you get the point, Flying.

Sure always a concern....Would be nice if Presidential candidates named their vice while running for the nomination. They are after all a package deal eh? wink.png

Looks like it might be Newt. Romney has a much better chance of winning a general election and Ron Paul has none. He may or may not be a racist, but he certainly knew what was in those racist newsletters that had his name on them and was in bed with David Dukes and those types.

Ron Paul knows he is not going to win the nomination. His objective - which he stated as recently as this Saturday - is to collect as many delegates as possible from each state during the primaries. The more delegates he has the more influence he will have at the national convention this summer and the more likelihood he can get some of his policy ideas (which would be the economic ones) adopted to the party platform leading into the presidential election in November. In South Carolina Newt won just about every demographic - except the youth vote which Paul easily won. Perhaps that partly explains why Newt was praising Ron Paul's ideas about currency. He knows that he would need those voters in November. Any voter in the US who wants something done about the Fed and about us printing too much money needs to vote for Ron Paul in the primaries. That's what I'm going to do.

In 2008 in South Carolina he got about 16,000 votes. This year even though he came in 4th, he got about 75,000. He's not just the "crazy uncle" anymore.

He said Saturday night that his goal was to disseminate his unconventional message through amassing as many delegates as possible. Riding into the Republican convention in Tampa this summer with a large number of delegates ensures that Paul is a force to be reckoned with in the Republican Party, which is uncomfortable with many of Paul’s libertarian positions.

“In the beginning, I thought it would just be promotion of a cause,” Paul said in the 17-minute speech. “Then it dawned on me, when you win elections and you win delegates, that’s the way you promote a cause.”

Some new revelations about Paul's direct involvement with the hate newsletters:

The republican party should kick that crackpot to the curb! But they won't. Good. Obama in 2012.

You know IMO this is a classic problem of US politics.........

According to your linked article...It is all based on....

according to three people with direct knowledge of Paul’s businesses.

Yet in the same article it states....

” Paul “abhors it, rejects it and has taken responsibility for it as he should have better policed the work being done under his masthead,”

Yet according to you the party should kick the crackpot to the curb?

As I have said in the past of the current line up he is IMO qualified well beyond the rest...especially our current President on the important issues.

While they all would swear an oath to uphold the Constitution Paul actually believes it & has proved so in his track record.

Obama? look & see it is clear he does not feel the same or will at least trade it for *perceived* temp security

So yes I cannot help but smile a but at how preposterous it is for folks to try to make him out to be the kook.

Anyone who has seriously investigated his record or read his books will have 1st hand knowledge rather than sensationalism

as their base for making an educated decision.

Here in Ron Paul we have a presidential candidate who wants to attempt peace through fair trade & not an overly aggressive stance...Yet makes no bones about war where war is due & DECLARED

Here is a man who wants to fix the financial problem by looking at the cause not the symptoms. He is an expert on this subject which the others IMO really do not understand or at least are not *allowed* to understand openly...because they sure do not show it in what they say.

Here is a man who want to uphold the Constitution all are sworn to do so.. Period ....whether that be abolishing unfair/unconstitutional taxation or upholding rights & liberties/freedoms...He would not sidestep it through acts such as the so called Patriot Act or using a State of National Emergency ( now in effect for over a decade)to grant himself supposedly temporary right to do so

( as both previous presidents have done when no National emergency really exists).....

Yet we have had both for over a decade under the last two presidents.

Recently saw this & while I never really watched Donahue when he was a TV talk show guy nor do I know his political leanings he does make some basic statements here...That more & more are waking up to.

Video Pasted Below

Obama in 2012? I do not think so & I am only worried that something even worse could replace him....

The reason why it will not be Obama? Because it is one thing for all citizens to know the age old rule that politicians are lying if their lips are moving but.........In Obama's case he really did sell the Hope & Change

People not just in the US but all over the world believed it...Believed him!

That he fell short would be forgiven but that he not only fell short but went 180 degrees in the opposite direction is what the people will not forgive nor forget.

Never has the American people been so utterly disappoint & felt so cheated as with this president.

It was easy to accept with others as we had not much hope for them in the 1st place.

But Obama sold the Hope & Change 101%

As such we feel so cheated so lied to....we will not forget not forgive it.

You have a very valid point and all the spin in the world will not change the fact that he knew what was in those hateful, crazy newsletters and was more than happy to publish it at the time.

It was his newsletter, and it was under his name, so he always got to see the final product. . . . He would proof it,’’ said Renae Hathway, a former secretary in Paul’s company and a supporter of the Texas congressman.

It doesn't really add up ..........

Both UG & JT have said on numerous occasions

that RP is unelectable........NO CHANCE to be precise

I recall various statements...yet

UG you have gone to the trouble of a RP thread

JT has gone to the trouble....many times...to point out why in his opinion.....he has no chance.

Where as I have openly supported him I have also said he

knew going in he would not be the Republican candidate...of course as he does not support many

standard operating procedures the Republicans favor but, is using the airtime

for later when he is the Libertarian candidate & as usual ignored from any further debates

of the two party debate system. Hoping folks will remember what he said & why he said it.

Just doesn't add up in my mind why folks so convinced he has no chance

spend so much time trying to sling mud at someone who has no chance.

As for chance I will say this............

Obama has just two things going for him at this point

Gingrich & Romney

I never paid much attention to Ron Paul before, but recently I started visiting a new forum. The guy who owns it is one of Ron Paul's disiciples and constantly spouts off his rhetoric and believes it completely. There are a number of other posters that post the same stuff and are hateful KKK/Nazi types. Many of his supporters over the years have been ardent racists and he has made money off it.

I started doing research on Ron Paul and eventually decided that he is very dangerous and it was worth pointing out to those who just see some cute old geeky grandfather with a gift for hiding his real views from the general public.

I see & of course you have a right to your opinion.......

Can't say I understand the video of some comedian talking about Rand Paul....

Is that like a Rachel Madcow...Keith Oblermann type show?

Sounds like it.

Easy enough to stand on a stage making jokes....But without hard facts to back it up I can only

assume it is a comedy act or an attempt at one

I mean if one looks at the url for that video they find 35 videos of someone trying to discredit RP

all equally lame in substance it seems with a truly ignorant mans name mentioned...Bill O'Reilly

He also made a few points about Ron Paul, but I posted it becaiuse I thought it was funny.

About O'Reilly, I like him although I often disagree with his views.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zkQYrF94TXc

Phil Donahue is a 100% Republican hating Democrat.

Bill Maher is a 100% conservative hater with an ultra-liberal show on HBO. He doesn't like Republicans very much either.

Bill O'Reilly is NOT ignorant. One can disagree with his positions but calling him 'ignorant' is hardly intelligent, in itself.

The first two are very vocal members of the Left stream media propaganda machine.

Ron Paul's sins have been almost ignored by the press and other the candidates. If he actually started winning primaries, a lot of stuff would come out that has only been touched on that would really put off the public. That is why pretty much everyone thinks he is unelectable.

I follow absolutely zero television media. Can you elucidate on what those sins are? I'm in the dark. Thanks.

Go back and read this thread from the beginning and click on the links. My guess is that this is only the tip of the iceberg compared to what will come out if he ever starts winning. wink.png
