Can anyone tell me the maxmium limit of pounds sterling cash you can bring and out of Thailand.

Without having to declare the money to the customs, you can bring with you amounts of foreign currency up to USD 20,000.- (or equivalent). Same amount when leaving.

Anything over 10k MUST be declared when leaving the UK, if not and its discovered it may be confiscated until satisfactory evidence of origin is provided.

^even if under 10k Quids you may be asked to provide proof of where the money came from and that you have paid tax on it.
