This is a picture taken from directly above these camels in the desert at sunset.

It is considered to be one of the best pictures of the year.

When you look closely, you can see that the camels are the little white lines in the picture.

The black images you see are just the shadows! biggrin.png

Bloody menace, those animals.

At night they move to the roads to sleep, 'cos the asphalt is warmer than the desert.

Then along you come, thousand kilometres to cover in ten night-time hours, and WHUPP !!

Lot of weight in these beasts, not like hitting a donkey - these'll kill you.

Not something you see every day, but I've had one eat the 30 pound salmon I was trying to net. I'll tell you THAT was an awesome sight... even though I would have liked to get the salmon.

I've been fortunate to capture many nature picturess in the wild. I've spent my whole life doing it so it's not so amazing anymore.

Good effort Pete, I was looking forward to seeing more contributions to this thread, but it seems it's destined to fade away. (Might have been better placed in the photography sub-forum?) Notice we don't see much of Kan Win in Bedders these days...

Considering the amount of time I spend in and around the water pictures like these are common to me...

Hovering in a helicopter over this wilderness valley was very special to me because the previous time I had seen it I had flown in with a float plane and was stranded for week in the fog before I could get out.

This is a fantastic pic of Paris.

MUST BE VIEWED

No idea how it was made, appears to be from, a camera hovering over the Eiffel Tower.

It is seemingly an all encompassing view, 360° up down and around.

Use your mouse button to move the view around, easier than the buttons on screen.

Zoom in to see very well detailed buildings and avenues.

Mite take awhile to load, worth waiting for.

OK, but why take it on a foggy day?

Most likely because permission to float a balloon over the Eiffel Tower a one-day deal? Don't know, just hypothesising...

Most logical in my eyes, JB.
