A Young Monk

Featured Replies

The trials and tribulations of being a young Monk … you have to feel for these guys.

In the above clip ... watch through to the end because he wasn't the only child who was say 'inattentive' ... or was that deep meditation.

One kid at the end has amazing flexibility and indeed found the solution to the problem.

For those who find 5 or 6 minutes of the above clip too long, here is a shorter version, runs about 2 minutes.

With a few obligatory Thai 'bells and whistles' added.

The boy in my avatar is not the boy in the clip ... but knowing his character ... he sure could have been.

Dunno who enjoyed it more, me watching the video or the boy behind. Made my day! Thanks.

Could I embed this in my blog (with attribution and link, of course). I'm doing a post on young monks' lives

Could do just fine without the distracting and annoying sound effects so typical of all Thai funny stuff. By the way, they're novices, not young monks as you call them.

More then welcome. They are YouTube clips, hence in the public domain.

If it doesn’t contravene the Forum rules, maybe post the link back on this tread?
