You're joking, right? That reporter is a sleazeball heckler. Heckling the president in the middle of a speech. That is never done. You wait till the question portion. That disgusting right wing fanatic will never be invited to a white house press conference ever again, under any president.

Brilliant political move by Obama today on immigration.

Smacks of desperation. Obama is very likely on his way OUT.

Between these two?..............

Sadly once again the American voters will be asked to decide who is the least worst.

Once again they will ultimately get the government they deserve

Brilliant political move by Obama today on immigration. Should lock up the Latino vote and generate more enthusiasm with that base. Go Barack! Compared to Romney, Obama is a REAL dream act.

How would you explain this?

FLASHBACK: Obama on Deporting Illegals ‘America Is a Nation of Laws,’ Presidential Action Not ‘Appropriate’

By Matt Cover

June 15, 2012

(CNSNews.com) – President Barack Obama – whose administration announced Friday that it would no longer enforce immigration law for certain young illegal immigrants – once told a group of Hispanic students that “America is a nation of laws” and that as president, it was his job to enforce them.

...then...

"Obama, answering questions from students about deportations of young, school-age illegal immigrants, said that immigration laws were passed by Congress and that only the judiciary could interpret them.

“Congress passes the law. The executive branch’s job is to enforce and implement those laws. And then the judiciary has to interpret the laws,” he said."

...and finally...

“There are enough laws on the books by Congress that are very clear in terms of how we have to enforce our immigration system that for me to simply through executive order ignore those congressional mandates would not conform with my appropriate role as president.”

More of that jelly-like spine of his talking...then or now?

We know that is your wish. But I'm afraid Romney is such an unappealing man that it isn't going to be easy as you hope.

Explain it? Politics.

Simple. Obama is completely full of it.

Translation. You know this dream act light thing was a bloody BRILLIANT political move that will seal the deal with Latinos are guarantee his reelection, so that makes you feel vindictive and your only recourse is a crude insult.

You're joking, right? That reporter is a sleazeball heckler. Heckling the president in the middle of a speech. That is never done. You wait till the question portion. That disgusting right wing fanatic will never be invited to a white house press conference ever again, under any president.

I wouldn't characterize the reporter as a sleazeball heckler but I would say he made a mistake and breached white house/press corps decorum and he will likely pay for it by being removed from the white house press corps. I would also say that politically this was a good move for Obama but he will have to defend it and he will hopefully do that in a way that doesn't make one side look righteous and the other evil. I WAS a relevant question the reporter had, if poorly delivered and probably with ill intent.

I'm not against this particular move though I do feel it is in non-compliance with current law. The problem I have with Chief Executives that are SOOOO political is that they have no long term roadmap. They make all these near term sharp turns in the name of political advantage or expediency and they have no clear picture if any of that brings the nation closer to a better destination. It's only about getting re-elected, maintaing power, and for what? It is a poor Chief Executive that abuses his executive powers for no real long term national benefit.

This illegal act of Obama's is based on an immigration plan put forward by Sen. Marco Rubio, who is a potential Vice Presidential running mate for Romney.

Now that would be an interesting discussion.

I agree. The only problem I have with this policy is that it circumvents the law and Rubio's method would have helped the kids long-term. IMO this election will mostly be about the economy and Obama has failed completely in that regard. Hispanics want jobs too and they are not the only voters, so Obama is very unlikely to be elected again with his dismal record.

Romney isn't Rubio. Obama LED on this issue. Major points for Obama. The right wingers have BLOCKED the dream act. Obama did what he could do. That's LEADERSHIP. I love my Obama!

Romney has no answer on jobs. Just attack Obama. Just suggest the failed Bush policies that led to this crisis. His job performance in Massachusetts was atrocious. His experience as a corporate business vulture is irrelevant. Nobody is saying Obama's doesn't own the current economy, but Romney has no solution at all. Who will win in a landslide in Romney's supposed home political state of Massachusetts? OBAMA! Romney won't spend any money there. Should tell you something. Those that know him best want no part of him for president.

All left-wing talking points and most of them dishonest. Romney's record in Massachusetts was way better than Obama's record in every way and Lehman Brothers happened because of Clinton - not Bush. Obama's first term was a disaster and is is very doubtful that he will get a second one to destroy what is left of the economy.

You can try to divert this with demonizing labels all you want. The fact is the people of Massachusetts have no interest in electing their former, failed governor to be their president. If he did such a great job there, he would at least be competitive. Instead, he has ZERO chance of winning his home state. Sorry, that tells something.

It says that most of the state are liberals and little else. See how Romney does in Texas. wink.png

That much is true. One thing the press corps has learned under Obama - you refuse to tow the party line or ask a tough question at the risk of being banned.

He disrespected the office of the president. How hypocritical! You wouldn't want any reporter to do that to a president you liked. That's obvious. It wasn't a question. It was an out of line HECKLING interrupting a speech in progress. Totally disgusting.

Here you are wrong. It is historically VERY RARE for a major party nominee ex-Governor to NOT be competitive in their home state. Hopefully, this is a bad omen for his horrible candidate who offers NO solutions, just criticisms.

Don't be so sure. Don't forget that American voters tend to vote for the dude they would most like to go out for a beer with. That explained the W Bush appeal. A beer with Romney? Does Not Compute. Romney, the republican Dukakis/Kerry -- LOSERS! I can't believe you guys seriously believe this stuffed suit no passion corporate vulture is actually going to be elected. What a downer!

I'm sure Obama has been thinking of ways like this to bribe votes from people since he and his advisers know that they obviously can't run on his record of the past 3 years.

I agree reporters should wait for the President to finish. From what I read, the reporter thought he was winding up and wanted to get the first question in but ending up jumping the gun.

In any case, liberals shouldn't talk about "disrespecting the office of president" - they perfected it under Bush 43.

Rand Paul just came out and endorsed Romney.

http://www.washingto...ywTMV_blog.html

Yes I saw that too.

seems the likely thing to do as Romney has the nomination clinched now.

The convention will be must-watch TV is Ron & Rand both get a speaking role. Hopefully that's the payoff.

I love my Obama!

I bet you do...

I do believe you are politically correct. Loved it!

Compared to Obama he is a shining knight on a white horse.

Can't decide who is worse.

http://www.capitolhi....com/node/27155

The trouble with Dr. Paul is that despite his independent thinking, much of what he stands for is repulsive to people in the mainstream. For instance, he holds an unacceptable view of civil rights, saying that while the federal government can enforce integration of government jobs and facilities, private business people should be able to decide whether they want to serve black people, or gays, or any other minority group.

Like father, like son.

(Yep. Racists.)
