No thanks.

[I did NOT start the gay related thing here. Another poster did. Conversation flowed from that, and now it hit a point where you aren't comfortable with responding about it anymore.

It has nothing to do witth this thread which means a vacation is likely if we continue to discuss it and I much rather bash Obama anyway. THAT is on topic.

She quite often looks scruffy... which is far from gravitas. But compare her with the super-slick Romney (so super-slick I wouldn't trust him an inch), and an Obama who looks as if he has an ear over his shoulder to catch what his minders say, and she's brilliant.

Let's not get carried away with Hillary, now. If you want brilliant, check out Condoleeza Rice.

She has never shown any interest in running for political office, and it's clear she never will. Hillary, on the other hand, at least WANTED to be president.

Hey, doesn't Condeleeza bat for your team (or would that be my team huh.png )? Now there' a thread I'd like to see your input on, if she ever finds herself in that position. Or maybe even VP.

I always thought she is gay. None the less she is brilliant and multi-talented. She said again yesterday she will not run but if she does, I will be the first to support her.

You see, I really don't care. What I don't like are politicians that try and make themselves into some form of Messiah to assuage their own egos.

The polling trends are looking golden for Obama in the swing states. People aren't buying that Romney really has the background in business that they admire, being that he was a head of a vulture firm that mostly created jobs outside the USA.

http://www.huffingto...hp_ref=politics

But the revelation in the poll is found in the swing-state numbers. Among voters polled from Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Michigan, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Wisconsin, Obama leads Romney, 50 percent to 42 percent. That number continues a positive trend for the president. Two months ago, the swing-state number was 47 percent to 45 percent. One month ago it was 48 percent to 42 percent.

I will still be surprised if Obama gets within 5 points come November.

Your candidate, Romney, is a very weak, massively flawed one. Obama is beatable, but you needed something better. People can't relate to him as a human being. The idea of him being in the bully pulpit creeps people out.

Actually that is just spin from political opponents. There is nothing wrong with Romney and that is why the democrats were so afraid to run against him. However, despite all the lies and false propoganda, Obama's terrible economy is working against him and that is what most voters care about.

Hilarious! In the swing states, the economy is mostly getting much better. The Romney people are trying very hard to hush hush that news. He has nothing to offer. He has present no plan. An empty suit.

Yeah, yeah. We have heard all this from Obama before. Is this supposed to be the latest "recovery summer"? rolleyes.gif

aka: Jobless recovery

What ever happened to all those green jobs he promised?

Aside from camouflage green jobs he has only had the Solyndra scandal

He has present no plan. An empty suit.

I like neither candidate but this is really pot/kettle black

That is if we are talking about functional/working plans

Yeah, yeah. We have heard all this from Obama before. Is this supposed to be the latest "recovery summer"? rolleyes.gif

The truth is the obstructionist right wing party has been working overtime to try to PREVENT a greater recovery. Their stated ONLY goal is to kick out Obama. The American people will reject their level of obstructionism. Get ready to be disappointed.

Get ready to be disappointed.

Hey I for one am sooooo ready to be disappointed I left the country

Unemployment going down in critical swing states. Also Florida. That news plus the swing state polls I posted, Obama is set to win and maybe not as close as people assume:

The industrial zone’s four key states—Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania—constitute the most critically contested territory in this year’s contest. Fifty-four electoral votes are at play here, with Pennsylvania’s 20 votes alone equaling all those at stake in the much-ballyhooed battleground of the Intermountain West (Colorado, Nevada, and New Mexico).

The Midwest is also home to the two states with <a href="http://finance.yahoo.com/news/ohio-unemployment-rate-down-10th-month-row-162938284--finance.html" target="_blank">the biggest drops in unemployment over the past two years. Michigan leads the way with an almost five percentage point drop, while Ohio comes in second with a nearly three–point decline. in a row. Other key Great Lakes battlegrounds—Wisconsin, Indiana and arguably Missouri—have also seen two-point drops in their unemployment numbers.

For the toxic cynical, anti-worker republicans, obstructing Obama is JOB one. They don't care about the people. They care about seizing total power as if owning the supreme court isn't enough:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/dana-milbank-gop-style-jobs-program/2012/06/27/gJQAiphi7V_story.html

“Here in the House,” Speaker John Boehner announced after meeting with his caucus Wednesday morning, “Republicans are going to continue to stay focused on jobs.”

It’s true. Technically, House Republicans are focused on jobs: Eric Holder’s and President Obama’s. They want to put both men out of work.

Tying up this administration is Job One for the opposition party, and never more so than this week.

...

The truth is the obstructionist right wing party has been working overtime to try to PREVENT a greater recovery. Their stated ONLY goal is to kick out Obama.

At least you can admit the Republicans have been working. All you can say Obama has been working on is his golf handicap.

That's cheap but it sounds like you agree, they are totally obstructionist. There is no excuse for that.

It's all a right-wing conspiracy. Bill Clinton did not have sexual relations with that woman and the lousy economy is not Obama's fault. laugh.png

It's mainly Reagan's fault. Yes, I'm serious.

Actually, Clinton is the one that signed legislation that lead to the mortgage crisis that started the financial disaster.

Actually, Clinton is the one that signed legislation that lead to the mortgage crisis that started the financial disaster.

Not to be picky here, but it was Georgia's finest Jimmy Carter that signed the Community Reinvestment Act of 1978 that drove the economy into the ditch by the housing bubble and subprime mortgages.

Clinton was the driving force behind it during his term of office and escalated undeserved home ownership to those that were unable to pay for their purchases.

George W. Bush warned about Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and was told by Barney Frank, Chris Dodd, Maxine Waters and other Democrats that both those fine enterprises were substantial and didn't need any propping up. Look where their help led us!

JT:

If the Republicans are blocking the job recovery as you say, why is the Democratic Senate sitting on over 30 House approved job bills and not calling them for a vote? They afraid those nasty Republicans are going to filibuster their own bills?

You call them jobs bills. They're just inflexible right wing agenda bills.

They were just pushed to embarrass the democrats. Not serious proposals. Not something that they could ever hope to pass in a democratic majority senate. Only for talking points for people like you who only care about dumping Obama.
  1. What a ludicrous state of affairs:

http://www.businessi...decision-2012-6

Why ludicrous? Competing with likes of Adelson for Romney, he's got to be creative.

The sense of urgency is ludicrous. The colloquial language is ludicrous.

Normal language. Normal tactic to motivate. New to politics or something?

One thing I like about the new types of fundraising letters is, I only need to click "delete" rather than recycle the paper and regret the loss of the forest.
