You call them jobs bills. They're just inflexible right wing agenda bills.

Yes, you are right - the inflexible right wing agenda is creating jobs.

If the press were doing their job as they did with Watergate we would be looking at impeachment for Obama rather than an election.

I used to think those calling for impeachment were just partisan nutjobs but now I'm not too sure. The facts in the video make a compelling case for it.

Those calling for impeachment ARE parisian nutjobs. Anyway, an election is coming up soon. If you want to dump President Obama, here's your (slim) chance.

If you look plainly at the facts and imagine Obama being an old, white Republican, it's easy to imagine him getting impeached. Big time.

How did France get involved with this topic?

Freudian slip?

Dude. We're talking about Romney here. Obama now is has been commander in chief for three years. Romney on the other hand has no experience or credibility on foreign policy whatsoever. Stop dissing the source. Stop diverting to Obama. Deal with the issue. Romney is deeply unqualified for the presidency in the realm of foreign policy:
In short, he has no significant foreign policy experience. None at all. And his policy pronouncements have been disturbing.

...

Doug Bandow, a former Reagan administration official writing in the American Conservative magazine last month, quoted other conservatives saying Obama is "strikingly vulnerable" in the foreign-affairs arena. But Bandow added: "So far, Romney is convincing only as a blowhard with a know-nothing foreign policy."

I don't believe Romney is an expert on foreign policy. He is no George HW Bush, that's for sure. I would be very interested to know who he has in mind for the Sec of State job.

Obama has been commander-in-chief for three years, that's true. Serious question, can anyone name some of Obama's foreign policy successes during that time? Any progress with North Korea? China? Iran? Israel-Palestinian issue? How has the over-charge reset policy with Russia worked out?

Your political bias has blinded you to reality. That's a pity:
I understand the left's problem with Obama's national security policy. But the right? What the hell is their problem? Obama has escalated our presence dramatically in Afghanistan; he created a massive drone air force that's all but wiped out al-Qaeda in Pakistan; he killed Osama bin Laden; he approved a multilateral military operation in Libya that ended up killing Muammar Qaddafi; he sent a SEAL team out to kill Somali pirates; he assassinates U.S. citizens in foreign countries who are associated with al-Qaeda; and he's done more to isolate and sanction Iran than George Bush ever did. Crikey. Just how bloodthirsty do they want the guy to be?

Heard it. But that doesn't change the facts that Obama has a successful record on foreign policy and Romney brings nothing to the table on foreign policy.

The issue is that Romney is running against Obama, and Obama's foreign policy has mostly consisted of apologizing to rogue nations and other enemies for the actions of other American presidents.

That is simply not true and I think you know that too. But you've chosen your side. So be it.

You're confusing National Security policy with Foreign policy.

Now, please, list some of Obama's foreign policy successes over the past 3+ years. No links, just type out a few of them. If you need to search the blogs for a link, then you are admitting that you don't know of any.

Wrong! War and peace issues are totally related to foreign policy! The way Obama handled Libya was brilliant, the goal was met, and the US avoided direct involvement in a protracted war. (Compare to Bush in Iraq, the biggest FOREIGN POLICY mistake in American history.)

I'll take that as a "No, koheesti, I can't really think of any of Obama's foreign policy successes so I'll just go back to blaming Bush!!"

And what was the goal in Libya. If it was simply to get rid of Gaddafi, do the Pontius Pilate routine and walk away, then it was an unqualified success.

I guess you could rank it right up there with the success of not backing Mubarak in Egypt, thereby insuring the line of succession will fall to the Muslim Brotherhood as another mind boggling success of Obama's foreign policy.

How about the sanctions on Iran? They must be working if the Obama administration can excuse 20 countries from enforcing the sanctions, which means they won't work at all.

Romney has as much or more foreign policy experience than Obama had in 2009...and I do believe Romney will be a fast learner. After all he attended Harvard Law and Harvard Business School at the same time, earning degrees from both.

So you think Obama should have bombed Iran already? Seriously? So you think US troops should have been on the ground and the USA should be nation building there, after Iraq? Seriously? Obama actually did have more foreign policy experience coming in as he was a SENATOR. OK, not much, but now he has much more and some good successes as well. Not going to new wars counts big time!

WHERE did anyone write that? Seriously.

Obama was a Senator for something like 100 days before announcing his run for the presidency. Most of those 100 days were spent writing his 2nd memoir and picking out a set of golf clubs.

I wasn't looking but I just so happened to stumble upon this fine piece from Victor Davis Hanson...

The Obama Foreign Policy

The 2012 election will hinge on the economy, not on U.S. foreign policy, unless there is a major overseas crisis — an Israeli attack on Iran, an Iranian detonation of a nuclear weapon, a Middle East war, a North Korean attack, or something of that sort. That said, there is much to lament in the current administration’s foreign policy. But Mitt Romney should be careful in critiquing the status quo, given that it is full of paradoxes and contradictions.

Aside from the war on terror, then, what are the ten legitimate areas of criticism?

Then he goes on to list them.

Typical right wing propaganda.

Can't go over the ten points, but this goes into the BRILLIANT Turkey policy. Brave and bold.

Typical right wing propaganda.

That is your lame response to anything that effectively points out what a complete disaster Obama's presidency has been.

"Securitygate. The Obama administration has leaked the most intimate secrets about U.S. covert operations — the cyber war against Iran, the Predator-drone assassination program, the Yemeni double agent, the bin Laden raid — in a transparent attempt to chest-thump over the once covert anti-terrorism efforts. This was a shameful thing, and we have not yet felt the full consequences of this disaster." http://www.nationalr...or-davis-hanson

this goes into the BRILLIANT Turkey policy. Brave and bold.

Yeah, brilliant. rolleyes.gif

"Despite the growing anti-democratic tendencies of the Erdogan government in Turkey, Obama has structured his Middle East policy around that government, unconcerned that its policy of insidious Islamization is a model for slowly subverting what follows from elections."

National Review is by definition an organ for ideologically American right wing opinion.
