We have had a few discussions about Sat’s in the last few months but just wanted to update my findings to those that were following these threads and needed some help.

I have recently upgraded my Chip L312 using http://www.jsat.tv (Jon) and have noticed a significant improvement from my original programming done by another provider in Bangkok. (Which I won’t mention)

Just a couple things I have noticed that I like much better for anyone looking to purchase a sat package or upgrading Jsat’s chip has all the satellites in a row in order how they are placed in the sky. Also, the signal is about 5-10 clicks higher than my previous chip.

Lastly the number of sat’s in the line up are much greater which is what I was after when I first purchased this setup from the first dealer. However, they didn’t have the expertise to complete what I wanted. Instead they just programmed what they “thought” I wanted. The reason I don’t mention my first company outright is because they have tried there best to rectify the problem but in the end I think it’s just a real communication gap which is why sometimes speaking in your native tongue is really the only way to get accrossed what you really want. Even though my wife is Thai she knows nothing about this sort of thing and is really not interested to learn. So she may not be the best translator when it comes to buying Sat gear! So very nice to know that Jsat has that ability. Not to mention this was a free upgrade. ….. Took 15 minutes.. Sooner or later I will have to have them out to fix my set up the correct way!

New ULTRA Upgrade L314

I also bought a sat last month, when i asked my supplier to upgrade he promised me to send me a computer cable so i could do the upgrade by myself.

The cable never arrived while at the same time Jsat announced in this forum a free upgrade even for non Jsat customers.
