How Do I Get Wireless Internet In Bangkok

Featured Replies

I have a laptop. I want to be able to connect to the internet without using the internet service in my building or getting my own phone line. Is there any sort of way to do this? I think I have heard friends talking of "air cards" or something like that? Thank you.

You may be able to use your smartphone as a modem and/or Wifi AP.

Or you could get a USB Air-Card, and a pre-paid SIM, and add money and subscribe to a 3G data plan.

Maybe have a search, and read through the many threads here describing various products, solutions and service providers?

I use a D-Link 156 aircard and its great. Really cool that i can log on even when taking a bus out of town.

if there is service where you are and you have a True Sim card you can use True WiFi for 100 baht a month

that gets you a user name (your cell phone # ) and a password, you do not need to buy an aircard,

I am sure an Aircard is better if you are moving in a bus or taxi , but the WiFi works good around town on my netbook
