December 23, 200520 yr Is it possible for me to contact the Embassy to find out whether an application was submitted by my g/f or do they not divulge that info? I dont think it matters which embassy.....no they do not!!
December 23, 200520 yr If your g/f has made an application, then she'll have a receipt. Ask for proof of that: she can always have it scanned and e-mailled to you. Scouse.
December 24, 200520 yr Author Thanks for the reply. The reason i ask this question is that i'm beginning to doubt my girlfriends commitment to getting the visa. It would be useful to independently verify that she put the application in. I suppose the only way to find out would be from the Embassy but from whats been said it sounds like they wouldn't be interested.
December 24, 200520 yr Sorry, mate, but if you have doubts about her, what the hel_l are you doing sponsoring her for a visa? If you have doubts as to her intentions, how do you expect the ECO to trust her?
December 24, 200520 yr Author Maybe I'm just being paranoid but I just want to be sure that shes seen an ECO, thats the whole point. If its possible I'm being strung along I want to know about it.
December 24, 200520 yr Either ask her for a copy of the receipt or phone up the embassy and say that you're enquiring of so-and-so's application and wait for them to say that none has been lodged. Scouse.
December 27, 200520 yr If you have her passport number or date of birth they should confirm that an application has been received - I called to check my husband's had been received at a British Embassy with just his passport number. They were very helpful and not only did they say it had been received but they also told me to call back for his interview date which I did and was given over the telephone which was a pleasant surprise. Worth a try - even if it just to put your mind at rest.
