BEDFORD COUNTY, VA --

When Tim Morris got his mail last week he found a pretty big surprise, a document asking his dog Mozart to register to vote. Not only is Mozart a dog but he's been dead for two years. "I opened it up and looked at it and I just laughed," Morris said. "I thought it was a joke at first and it turns out it's real." The form is addressed to Mo, the family's nickname for the dog. What amazed Morris is that if Mozart was human he would have been eligible to vote for the first time in 2012.

You should know better than that, coke is bad for dogs.

It's funny the things that happen in this internet age. I did a Google search on myself the other day and I was really surprised about all the information about me that was on the web. Some professional but mostly stemming from public filings in various locales. All that information was available to anyone for $29.95 from some company.

I don't think it's funny. I think it's scary. ph34r.png

I'm all for dogs voting, preferably live ones, though. Just think of it, a dog is fully equipped for life after a few months; it takes us fifteen years at a minimum figure.

I wouldn't mind dogs getting to vote if they got to meet and sniff each candidate. Of course, you'd have to make sure the candidate didn't have any doggie treats in his pocket or sprinkled cat hair on his opponent.

And just how is that different in essence from what political candidates do? Promises which they can keep (treats), and ones which they can't (cats to maul).

You picked up on it exactly as I intended. wink.png

Take away the treats and cat hair and dogs are a much better judge of character than humans. ALTHOUGH, they do appear to be racist towards blacks and Thais. I don't think a Thai candidate would ever win the dog vote. I used to live just off the beach on Samui. My neighbors had dogs and everytime a tourist would walk down the path between the bungalows to the beach the dogs would either ignore them or wag their tails. But when a Thai would walk by they would go nuts.
