Curious to see how he will get rid of the Russian mafia in Pattaya ...

Invite them to an 'ear-medicine'-drinking contest in Bangkok, perhaps ? drunk.gif

Strange how this wasn't listed as one of PTP's great achievements of the past year.

Didn't he also disclose that the police had been dressed as the Black Shirts and had shot Seh Daeng and others? Wonder where that investigation ended up......

Well he have to start with police first, im so bloody tiered of this kind of BS talk.

the biggest mafia in Thailand are the Police. so getting rid of the mafia should be a challenge,

"Attending the one-hour meeting were the governors of Phuket, Ayutthaya, Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen, Chiang Mai, Ubon Ratchathani, Sukhothai, Tak and Kanchanaburi."

where was the Pattaya governors...???

or surat thani for that matter.

I have another question for the man :

Does he want to get rid of ALL mafia involved in tourism or just the Russians ?

Oh goodie! I'll go to Pattaya and rent a jetski to celebrate!

Who's coming? I'll arrange for a tuk-tuk to pick us up outside the Grand Palace.

Chalerm Vows To Get Rid Of Mafia In Thai Tourism Businesses Within 3 Month

Still busy writing the 'mission accomplished' report

"Chalerm Vows To Get Rid Of Mafia In Thai Tourism Businesses Within 3 Month"...

Hah!...Hah!...Hah!...Best laugh I've had since I looked in the mirror this morning!

What does 'mafia in tourism' actually mean? Does it mean unscrupulous companies offering trips etc without the necessary insurance, health and safety certificates, employing underage people, companies selling fake/copied articles, unlicensed tuk-tuk's/taxi's/mini buses offering sightseeing trips or perhaps bars/massage establishments that have women offering sex for sale?

Does this 'tourist mafia' encompass the police who offer 'protection' to bar owners, restaurants/hotels/national parks/zoo's who practice 'duel pricing'?

Another day another load of waffle, they really do not engage brain before opening mouth!cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

Chalerm vows to get rid of Thai tourism business 555

A pity the tourism mafia didn't decide to get rid of Chalerm. Messing with a Thai's income is risky business.

Then again, they probably realised he was just a blowhard egotist and could be totally ignored.

Careful, didn't his son get away with the execution of the policeman in the disco in New Petchaburi Road? I wonder which mafia he means...

I'm not sure Dept. PM Pol. Captain Chalerm will have time to write his 'mission accomplished' report. It seems that k. Chalerm has been assigned to be in charge of responsibilities of former deputy prime minister Yongyuth Wichaidit.

Seems only fair to replace one sycophantic criminal crony with another of equal "stature". And with Chalerm, you get all the extras like egotism, alcoholism, meaningless bluster, perverting justice...............a true giant of this PTP government.

Yeah, what a dream dream team (of corruption) the PT government.

Chalerm vows to get rid of mafia in tourism businesses

Are they gone yet mai? No? Ok. Open mouth; insert foot.

...and perhaps start looking for a new career, like say, in Comedy. Wait a minute...never mind; obviously this one is already doing a "stand-up" gig. (queue canned laughter, whistles, and whoopee cushion sounds).

Well, nobody can accuse politicians of being the sharpest tacks in the box. Making silly a statement like that just opens yourself to public ridicule.

Different Mafias operating now. Give him another 90 days and stop being such a cynic. 90 more days may be needed after that, but stop worrying - it is all in hand.

Open letter to the right honourable minister for everything.

Dear Khun Chalerm,

Where are we at with this?

Yours sincerely,

The public

Just couldn't help myself....
