'Pay Up Or Die': Thousands Of Australians Receive Death Threat Text Message

I recall someone on ThaiVisa mentioning that they had received such a threat (e-mail, I believe). Well this one is making the rounds in Australia and will surely find its way to Thailand (if not already). Just beware and ignore....

Excerpt:

"The message reads: "Sum1 paid me to kill you. Get spared, 48hrs to pay $5000. If you inform the police or anybody, death is promised." It then directs the recipient to contact them at a Yahoo email account.

Police say seniors and those not familiar with the Internet are most likely to get scammed."

Get a life Berkshire... I dont think anyone who reads this fourm would be stupid enough to even look twice at a email like that.

Judging by some of the posts on ThaiVisa, there are plenty of stupid people here.

So when I get the text message in Thailand, I should worry about it? (trying awfully hard to make this even 1% thai related, perhaps the fact that there are aussies in Thailand helps, but then again, if that was the case, all we would have is wallabingbang 30 kookaburasatontree 20 rugby scores lol)
