Favourite Visa Run From Phuket

Featured Replies

Is there one? I'll need to do this later in the year. Any tips on where, how, how long etc would be greatly appreciated.

( :o Please don't roast me if this is old hat but I searched the forum and couldn't get an answer :D ).

Go on the Executive Visa Run. Double decker bus, with food and DVDs. It goes to Ranong, then you cross over on a boat to Burma. It takes a day. Costs 1500 baht. They have pick up points at Big C and other main locations around the island.

If you are minted then take a weekend away in KL or Singapore. It gives you a chance to visit Asia.

Can't add much to the above, but if you have the money a 12 month visa is available in Perth, Australia.

My favourite is Penang, Malaysia. The bus trip is long but interesting. A two-month double entry tourist visa is available and organised by tour companies in the town centre - so well worth the journey. Also, Penang is a funky island for a cultural and shopping trip.

Thanks to all of you for your replies!! :o

Penang is great and I'd be happy with that. I took a bus from Penang to Hat Yai once and that took a long while.

This Executive Visa Run mob sound interesting. Might check that out.

Phuket to K.L., only about Bt 2,500 return by AirAsia AirAsia.com if you book in advance.

Naka.

Silk Air can have you out and back to Singapore in an afternoon.. Very relaxed and seeing the flightcrews face when you get back on the same plane after a 45 min turnaround is worth every penny...
