Inner city Bristol in the late 70s and early 80s. The working class pubs were a mixture of hippies , Irish emigrants and West Indians.  Darts, pool and a juke box that had everything from country and western to reggae to rock. Fun times.

They toured the UK sometime in the late 70s , early 80s. They gave their all.

original was from 1970, but this one remake is mainly for the visuals:

Do you believe when you're all alone
You held the key to your destiny gone?

Argent from 1972

Rainbow - their biggest hit of 1979

Anyone remember the Greek cult band Aphrodite's Child? With now famous names Demis Roussos and Vangelis .

Rain and Tears was a big hit in Europe but considered to weak for the UK charts.

I remember this one Balo. he was truly an unlikely sex symbol!

Whilst we're in Greece, the lovely Nana Mouskouri.

I suppose Mouskouri is sort of Greekish.... albeit in a very Eurovision Contest style.

But for the real stuff, try Melina Mercouri.

From the movie Never on Sunday, in which she plays a prostitute that takes a day off work every sunday.....

Later she worked her way up (or should we say DOWN) to Minister of Culture.

Take that Kobkarn.

That voice! Those legs! That movie! That song! The scandal!

Blimey, I never knew Black Sabbath could be so sensitive.

I recall seeing them at Hull City Hall back in 1972 and my ears rang for 3 days.

Paranoid was a blast though.
