Road To Ban Lam (Camabodia) Flooded - Visa Runners Effected

Featured Replies

I am just passing on that I have been told that the road to Ban Lam, the popular visa run point in Cambodia is flooded, and likely to be for several days. People are preparing for the water to get higher, so doesn't sound good.

This was the road used if from Pattaya, through Chanthaburi then north to Bam Lam, apparently up over the mountain between Chant and the border, I am not sure where exactly.

Note: I am not sure if the road often used by the dangerous vans from BKK which typically use a different road further north is effected. This may still be OK???

I have a friend who is now trying to head down to Trat and go to that coastal border.

Any reports and updates would be good to help folks doing a visa run over the next week to Cambodia.

Thx for warning as i have to go visa run 2 Oct. , i wonder what happens if not possible to travel in case floods with the visa status?

You would be overstay if you overstay. There is no reason you can not leave because a road to a specific border crossing is flooded.

The way from Bangkok to Ban Laem via Chachoengsao, Sa Kaew n Soi Dao is free.

I am looking to drive .. is it a good idea to drive a sedan ? or need truck ?
