george
A Bangkok friend is dead I am sad to relay a message from Kurt's family. Kurt has passed away. He was back in Texas with his family at the time and not in any pain. I am posting this photo of him that he really liked that Richard K Diran took at the closing of The Silver Dollar earlier this year. Rest in peace dear Kurt. Greer
Oh this is sad news indeed - I used to keep in touch with him over the years but had not heard from him for a while. Gone is another of the true characters of Asia - not just Bangkok and Thailand, but the whole region. An educator and communicator, and a friend. Rest Peacefully mate. RudieTheFoodie
Many great nights in the Silver Dollar. Lovely young lady called Apple was my favourite, but the mama san (with the glasses) was a legend. Rip Kurt

Boudak
Sorry to hear he's gone. Read his column when it was available. Was introduced to him once in the Texas bar but didn't get a chance to chat as he was busy on his laptop. RIP
