Issaan is not that much smaller than France and hotels in Issaan is too big a subject to keep an up to date list going, which is why I assume nobody has tried (although I am sure TV could make much better use of pinned threads generally if mods didnt have to spend all their time smacking bottoms and deleting cr@p.tongue.png )

If you scroll back through the Isaan thread over the last year (if you can go back that far) or Google the name of your intended locations and including `hotel` and `Thaivisa.com` in the search criteria you will find location-specific information. I can recall myself threads dealing with hotels in Ubon, Khon Kaen, Surin, Roi-Et and Yasothon in just the last 6 months.

We Issaan falang welcome giving advice on a specific needs basis if you can be as specific as you can about area and budget.

As a general observation, nearly everywhere has newly-built resorts (and mansions in the larger towns) these days. They are generally clean and good value at 300 to 500 baht a room. You might need local advice to weed out the ones that might have an overly noisy karaoke or are too obviously short-time to take a family to, although many of the newer properties actually don`t fall into that latter category (they may be used inter-alia by `one night couples`, but are often nonetheless discrete).

Sorry, it's one of the pinned items, untouched since anno 2004,

I assume there have been some changes ever since

Yes this is a very unusable pinned and closed thread, that helps probably nobody. I guess it contains 0,002% of the hotel in the region. Fare more interesting would be an open and pinned thread with member's telling about hotels in the region - many which is not on the internet. Like here, where I tell about a nice and 450 bath hotel in the centre of Kuchinarai, Kalalsin: http://www.kalasin.dk/articles.php?article_id=5

Makes all the sense what is being said before. However the Hotel and the Info on lower Isann seem to be really hot issues with combined over 40.000 clicks implying heavy info needs.

Last responses going far to 2010 and more to 2008

Seems to be a general issue with site maintenance,
