hansgruber Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Hey when I was there - a taxi guy was there and dropped 4 Chinese people - just wondering what there experience was with this ....... Taximan received 100 Thb and a business card . Hans G did he try the trick on adding 7 % on a hand written bill ? Just wondering if it's there standard or that he was low on cash that day ( to much washing powder). It was hand written but I just wanted to pay and get the hell out. Another thing that struck me as odd was that the beer fridge is outdoors as you enter. He has 4 or 5 shops yet it sits in the heat working double time with fogged glass. Strange setup
Phuketliving Posted October 14, 2012 Author Posted October 14, 2012 I can immagine - at least we saved steve a few quit - The set up is as said before between an oven and a railway station - inside where I was first seated - like Siberia . I was wondering why they had the German beer selection ... ? Hans was that your idea .... ( lol ) . But as you say why are these fridges outside in the sun - entrance ... Funny buggers .. Nie how maaaaaa

TaoNow Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Expat rule # 3: Don't patronize restuaurants that locals do not patronize
KarenBravo Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 Expat rule # 3: Don't patronize restuaurants that locals do not patronize Cobblers! Don't see any Thais eating in the restaurant I get pizzas from. Should I stop going there? Of course not. Don't think I would take much notice of your rules #1 & #2, either (whatever they may be).
Somtamnication Posted October 14, 2012 Posted October 14, 2012 I doubt he meant locals, meaning native Thais. Since when do they know about quality farang food? However, I do eat at dim sum hole in the walls that natives do eat in.
TaoNow Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Thanks Somtamnication. We need to keep brawlers like "Brave" Karen in her place. S/he clearly doesn't feel like a local 1
