I'm planning on watching the stars play at Amata Spring next weekend and I'm driving up from Pattaya. If I follow the Sukhumvit past Chonburi will there be signs I can follow to the course?

Not going myself and only ever driven past the golf course, but you go as you are going north you need to take the first u turn bridge just after Amata Nakorn and the tesco after it. Stay in the side road and then just turn left into Amata Nakorn main entrance/road. Follow that along and the course is on the right hand side.

You would probably be best coming up the motorway then coming into Chonburi from there, where it splits - Bangkok one way and Chonburi the other. Follow the signs for Chonburi.

After the split the connecting road takes you to the Chonburi By-pass. Keep following the bypass until the end following the signs for Bangkok over the bridge over Sukhumvit. As opposed to signs for Chonburi which will send you back towards the city.

Once you have gone over the bridge over Sukhumvit you want the first U-turn bridge( as mentioned above) you can get to it from either the side or main road.

As said once you come off the u-turn bridge stay in the side road and turn left into Amata which is just after the tesco and follow until you see the course on the right.

Thanks for the help. Hopefully there will be some signs along the way.

If you are going to think to watch that season then just go for it there is nothing which can stop you so and in the course you will defiantly find me and i will there for you with my irons.

Whatever you're on, I want some of it!

Watched the first round on television. Never played Amata, but it looks very nice. Also looks difficult. Is this tourney a sanctioned tour event or do they pay appearance fees? Was surprised at the number of big name players. Looks like a regular european tour event.

It is an Asian Tour event. There are a couple of joint European/Asian Tour events every year but this is not one of them
