90Day Visa Run

Featured Replies

I know that with a 30 day passport you can leave Thailand and reenter for another 30 days, but what about with a 90 day passport? Can I leave and come back for another 90 days?

Did you mean a visa when you wrote passport?

You can get a 30 day entry if you fly into the country or 15 days if you don't have a visa.

If you have a non-immigrant visa you get a 90 day entry.

Flying into Thailand my passport is good for a 90 day entry not 30 days. I will not have any visa prior to arrival.

Thank you, but I am already aware that for my country the entry is 90 days. What I am asking is that after those 90 days I can exit and reenter the country for another 90 days, the same that is done for countries with 30 day entries where they exit and come back for another 30 days. I am thinking I can do it but just want to be sure there is no problem.

Yes you do get the same 90 days each entry as many times as you want but only by air for some countries that get 90 days.

Check the remarks at bottom of document I posted.

Nationals of the following countries will get 90 days if they enter by either land or air: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Korea (ROK), or Peru.

Additional Information:

- For those who do not require a visa, stays are restricted to

a max. of 90 days within any 6 month period. This also

applies to those granted an initial stay of 30 days, wishing

to extend their stay. One photo will be required for

extension application. Stays exceeding the 90 days within

any 6 month period may also be possible.

Can someone verify that the above information is accurate, and if so, how can I find out what the "Stays exceeding the 90 days within

any 6 month period may also be possible." exactly means? I copied this from a link in another thread.

Could you provide a link to where you got this information from? I already knew about the air but I want to make sure about the land part.

Sorry, could not post the link, please check the Ministry of Foreign Affairs web page. Under Tourist Visa Exemption you will find the list of countries which are eligible for 90 days upon entry at any border check point

90 day stay is bilateral agreement and does not change for entry by land as 30 day visa exempt entry may do (explained in footnotes in the above chart).

If you compare the countries under Visa on Arrival n Visa Exemption you will notice that this sheet is not up to date.

But that does not change the facts of entry and answer the question being asked, that entry being limited to only 15 days is for those using the normal 30 day visa exempt and not bilateral agreements.
