Karon Beach, I prefere the low season, less tourists, the waves are fun and the weather can be nice as well...

Lovely beaches, people, thank you for the photos. Thailand is blessed with such a variety of choices.

Mountain streams are what attract me because they remind me of the beautiful rivers on Vancouver Island.

Those coral beaches are tough on us whimps who have tender tootsies, Dancealot. I remember a beautiful looking beach in Australia that I couldn't walk a 100 metres on without getting sore feet. By contrast, I've seen others that were soft like flour.

This is an area in the Nan province that I want to explore more. The Wa River is lovely and clear like the rivers between Mae Sariang and Mae Hong Son, but far less populated. There is very little traffic in that area.

yes 3 bb connected, but I have not set up or connected the Mac Mini LAN line yet, ....

Wifi seems not as good as the old location... on the Mac Air. I keep getting timed out message and dropped line, so not sure if that is TV site or my end... will sort when I finish sorting the house ! wink.png

Ok sorry,,, obviously not in Thailand,, but certainly a water scene,,, a reminder of the harsh seas off the north of Scotland

post-100183-13723596077483_thumb.jpg

Sorry Dance,, can't claim the fame for it,, my little sister took it earlier this year,, it's at the port entry of my home town,, I entered and exited from that port many times during my 16 years in the fishing industry,,, never actually entered the port in quite so bad seas as in the pic,, but been stuck out at sea in much worse conditions, the harbour authorities usually close the port in such conditions,, and due to the seas being more predictable away from the coast it's normally safer further offshore

BTW... All seems well with my connections now, at least on the LAN line...... thumbsup.gif

One of my favourite valleys is the one between Mae Sariang and Mae Hong Son. There are many side roads, small villages and streams to explore.
