What Are The Odds Of Obama Making A Second Term Without Being Impeached?

Featured Replies

Some people in the government edited some talking points papers in response to an ENEMY attack on Americans. Obama must go! What are you people smoking! I think you really believe you've got him. You have nothing because there is nothing to get. Get over the Obama demonization. It ain't healthy.

Obama is a very good president trying to operate with a shockingly irresponsible opposition. The worst ever.

LB, you oppose Obama and you want what to replace him? The republicans? Those are the choices. Not some pie in sky thing you think is possible because it ain't.

The U.S. system and constitution is theoretically great but something has gone horribly wrong in the implementation, and that something is NOT Obama.

It's like your ass is bought and paid for. I don't base what I want to see by what's on offer. I start with what I want based on my core convictions. On what's morally and ethically right despite what is practiced or common. That's what i teach my children and that's what i try to do. If all of what's on offer is deletarious I choose neither. I don't cheer on the one I perceive is killing me in a kinder gentler fashion. That's a sucker's game.

That thing you mention, that has gone horribly wrong is the input and oversight of the citizenry. The government, any government, now feels it has carte blanche to do whatever they please. The internet rant has replaced the protest and they like that just fine. I don't exclude myself, but I'm changing that. I may go down, but I'll go down swinging. But not yesterday, because I beat a radar traffic ticket in court. I'm not much of a joiner but I'll be marching with placards soon.

Again, pie in the sky.

It's republicans vs. democrats. Period.

If that changes and there is something better that has any chance of not helping the republicans, let me know.

Yes I hate the republican party to the very core of my being.

Well I didn't always. Not back in Rockefeller days. But that is all gone now. They are all radical extremists now.

I don't love the democrats anywhere near to that intensity.

But I think there is no other choice and I think any fair view of real politics will tell anyone the same.

I wouldn't wish this system on my children. With that in mind and with both starting college in the next 16 months, I told them I expected them to get arrested at least once protesting an injustice while at school or I'd really have to give strong consideration to funding post graduate studies.

This is a post I made tonight on a thread about the Justice Department tracking phone calls of Associated Press personnel, today's erupting scandal.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My reading of the press articles is this is considered much more serious that Benghazi since it is such a naked show of power. The Obama administration would seem to be in the heart of the turmoil and probably deserves to be there. Chicago politics at work.
As I recall, some higher up in the Obama administration was talking about the Koch brothers tax back in 2011. He didn't get that off the internet.
Now the "most transparent administration in US history" seems to be covering up or hiding from the following scandals.
1. Fast and Furious (Yep, Ethel, F&F is still around)
2. Benghazi cover-up.
3, Health & Human Services Secretary soliciting funds from private insurers to promote registration for Obamacare.
4. Department of Justice illegally tracking telephone calls of Associated Press personnel. Just breaking now.
5. IRS targeting conservative PACs for being conservative.

Something I read tonight said one third of the House of Representatives membership are currently on committees investigating actions by this administration. Before the non-Americans get all worked up, oversight of the Executive branch is the duty of the House.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

JT: This isn't caused by the sleazy right wing Republicans...it is caused by the sleazy left wing Democrats, led by hizzoner Barack H. Obama.

When you've got the press in your pocket it is easy for any government to believe they can act with impunity. A free press is as great a pillar of democracy as an election.

I would take issue with number 5 though. Definitely a scandal there and some serious law breaking and abuse of power, but the REAL scandal is that any of these organizations (PACs), both liberal and conservative, have a tax exempt status at all. They are all clearly partisan in nature. Once again it will not be the core fault that is addressed but some peripheral issue that ignores the core defect.

Benghazi is nothing. Strike that off the list.

IRS and press thing is worth investigating. You won't link it to Obama but some heads should and will roll.

LOL I the Republicans are evil doers who allow sick people to die in the street, war moungering facist, homophobes. Typical left wing political retohoric. Do people who say this stuff even know one person who has actually died in the streets of the USA because of illness? It is easy to point a finger and tell everyone the sky is falling on the other hand it takes a bit more back bone to be responsible. The libs and oboma are great at the blame game and typically both lack the spine to act on their own.

You hate Obamacare. What you got to replace it? How do you intend to provide health care for the tens of millions of American without access to it? Do you care? Don't say jobs. In CIVILIZED countries, health care is a RIGHT.

You might think you're fooling people with your fake "scandal" mania. But the American people know what the republican party is. It is the party that cares not a bit if poor people just suffer and die. It is the party that favors making the horrific inequality in America even worse.

Speaking of impeachment:

Republicans do their base’s bidding, not America’s. How many times do
you need to see them do this before you accept that it is the reality?

This is not the first time that you side step what i post by creating your own self dialog JT. When will you man up and face the facts regarding your beloved Obama?

What am I supposed to accept? Some birther propaganda or something?

I've been a bit snippy lately, so let me say, with all due respect, you've got this Obamacare thing all wrong. I understand your view, that while imperfect it is a significant improvement on the path towards Universal Single Payer health insurance for all. That is an incorrect view, given that OC throws up greater impediments to ever brining UHC about. Obamacare has entrenched and given greater power to the one entity that MUST be eradicated in order for UHC to come about. That is why I am against it. It is a wolf in sheep's clothing and that will be apparent to everyone in the not too distant future. Everyone will be getting less for more, including the poor.

You fail to see the bigger picture mate. Obama wanted universal too but it was politically impossible. If you were more honest, you would admit the same, it was 100 percent politically impossible. But one big thing has changed. Health care is now almost a right for all Americans. BECAUSE of Obamacare. The system isn't fit to provide that yet, but the concept and law of the RIGHT is being cemented. Obamacare is a bridge at this point. It is deeply flawed but it has set the precedent. Further change MUST happen, we can all agree on that, but it will be in the context of the health care RIGHT for ALL Americans.

The right wing, enemies of the poor, were passionately against this RIGHT being set in stone. They are still fighting but soon it will be too late.

Again, you fail to accept political realities and fail to see the truth of Obamacare as a STEP.

The fact is when people are working, and industries are growing health benefits are one of the perks. Obama is a welfare monger he pushes hand outs the way pushers hand out drugs; get them hooked on free stuff then have your way once they are dependent. Gas and Oil is a huge industry that is shovel ready with high paying jobs. From day one Obama has put his energy into social dependence rather than fiscal independence. He has spent more time on the couches of talk shows than with CEO's, he panders to illegals, gays, disenfranchised, and the cool aid drinkers but he does nothing to get the country back to work.

Health care coverage is best DIVORCED from employment. Americans need ALL citizens covered. Not just the working. The employment based model has failed miserably, good times and bad.

Political realities are not the only realities. There are economic realities too. If the insurance companies are not eradicated (at least for universal basic coverage) the price will just continue to escalate. It is already too much now, so what will happen is those "rights" you talk about will be the right to healthcare that is substandard at a high price.

The insurance companies rights are the only thing that has been cemented into the process so far. Everything else can be eroded. It's not what you think and I'm not giving you the Republican line. It's a Trojan horse.

You still don't get it. Yes, it's going to blow up and then there will be NO CHOICE but to move towards a Canadian system. Which is what we should have had all along, but Americans are too politically retarded ... so far.

I'm not saying this was a master plan by Obama to create a system that is going to blow up. The health care system was already blowing up and it has been HORRIBLE. Most expensive in the world with some of the worst access and health care outcomes in the world.

OK, I get your meaning now. You EXPECT it to blow up. That it will, but take just a minute and look at a pie chart of how the US budget is allocated. If it blows up it means healthcare will become an even larger slice of that budgetary pie. What blows up with it? Education? Social Security? Something else that destabilizes the economy and cripples the country? If that happens it will be a phyrric victory.

Worst access in the world? Illegals, uninsured and tourist can walk into an emergency room and get care. The Canadian model covers about the same number of people that Romney care covered. The dynamic changes dramatically with the greater demand. Insurance companies have been setting policy for years. Obamas new best buddy Warren Buffet owns at least 2 insurance companies

Emergency rooms? Wow. You don't actually believe that is the answer for coverage do you? See that's why the right wing is so BANKRUPT on this issue. Their lack of actual concern for the PEOPLE involved is so blatantly obvious.

What sort of medical care do you expect acute or chronic? Acute is what kills fastest. Aids cocktails, anti depressants and life extending experimental drugs trend towards bankruptcy.

Never mind. There really isn't any point to this. Sorry. You've got a rigid ideology that will never change and I believe the USA should be a civilized country.

Typical Compassionate JT yet when the ambassador is killed you say "it's nothing" always quick to slag the American health system yet unwilling to accept the fiscal failure of the European models. Never ever willing to place any responsibility on the users and always demonizing the payers. Cut from the same cloth as Obama

This is the core problem.
Would love to take part in that vote included on that link but you need to include your email.

As seen already this administration will target anyone for having an opinion that goes against theirs.

So I am a bit leery about voting. That in itself is rather telling isn't it?

I'm pretty sure that Obama is going to lose on Newsmax even without our votes. tongue.png

OK, answer me this. I'm not trying to score any internet warrior points off you so I expect an honest answer. How the hell is it that this Eric Holder <deleted> still holds a position in government? He makes John Ashcroft look good by comparison and that is no mean feat. Seriously, hundreds of deaths can be laid right at his door as a result of his stunningly bad management. Every new disaster seems to have his stamp on it somewhere. Does Obama keep him around to be the designated <deleted> up and draw attention away from himself?

I saw a stream of a Congressional hearing today where a congressman was looking for some accountability from this human malignancy of the Obama administration and he had the chutzpah to lay into the congressman for trying to hold him accountable. I wanted to throw a brick at my computer monitor. Serenity now!

Here's a photo of one of those wild eyed right wing extremists that is involved in a violent confrontation with the authorities by waving tea party generated propaganda placards.

For the record: Obamacare IS constitutional.

But, the Obama administrations case for Obamacare WAS found to be unconstitutional as even that little old lady knew. It was only found to be constitutional if designated a tax, which the government has the authority to levy and which the Obama administration swore up and down it was not. Now, what' about this Holder guy.

In the court case, the Obama side did nothing of the kind.

Holder? I don't care. If he has to go, he has to go. Sorry. I do care about Obama. It would be a disaster for him to be impeached. Happily, you don't have anything on him.
