Joke right!

You can't use it when you are playing! OK, spend 8 hours on the golf course in a practice round and chart all the greens. We used to draw the greens ourselves and later Mark Gardiner from Australia would sell the yardage books to all the players with the slopes/break of the greens - not done with a gizmo.

I would say learn to putt and read greens! The very best putting practice is on a 2 meter chalk line on the putting green (masons tool) or a 400 baht carpet from HomePro with a straight marker line on it for practice at home. Learn to roll the ball straight, even one handedly. ALL PUTTS R STRAIT! Then read the break - it is an art. Learn to play golf and putt (half your score). Don't rely on a wish. The time you spend checking all the greens of every course you play would be better spent - simply practicing!
