Crime: Bt100,000 Reward Set To Find Couple Accused Of Assaulting Karen Girl

Does anyone have a link to photographs (bail photos?) of the couple? These photos need to be published on a wide (worldwide) scale to assist in finding them.

What's the bet they fled the country the day after their bail? Seems a trend in this country and sets a poor example for our youth....avoid responsibility at all costs.

I just received an email from the Bangkok Post. In their coverage of this story they have posted a link to a video of the girl's injuries that is on Youtube.

Whatever you have seen, or think you have seen in the picture here, it pales by comparison with that video.

If you are angry now about the way that poor girl has been treated by both the two Thais and by the authorities in parading her for inspection, don't watch it. I wish I hadn't.

@Jetset Bkk

Thanks for the heads up. Will take your advice. I am wound up enough already. I hope the world sees all of this.

Anybody with a fraction of a brain knew this couple would run. I guess that tells us how many brains all the people involved in letting them go have.

Just googled the video on You tube, those injuries are beyond horrific, what this child has gone through is just heartbreaking.

How can anyone do that to another human being, let alone a child.

After all she's been through, she is now paraded in front of a crowd of male photographers to have her injuries stared at and photographed?

Whatever is sick with this country, it doesn't just stop at the people who inflict this pain and injury.

After all she has been through, I imagine that having her injuries photographed and publicised would be the least of her worries.

It would seem there is far greater concern being expressed by westerners on TV with a very contemporary sense of morality.

The girl (from her appearance in the photos) shows no obvious signs of pubescence. Despite their numerous shortcomings, I am confident the Thai police would have handled this differently if that were not the case. I also cannot remember seeing any photos of her face, which would identify her.

I am starting to worry whether I should delete and shred the numerous photos I (and other family members) have of my pre-pubescent children and grand-children, taken in such settings as the bath, and at the beach.

I sincerely hope that these bastards are found, although I fear they have left the country by now.

If not, then someone out there knows where they are, be it family, friends etc. In the meantime, let's hope the police are looking.

And looking hard.

no doubt some one knows where they are and most probably so does the police... and what do you want to bet it will be some policeman who ends up claiming the reward.. whistling.gif

Skipping bail was the expected outcome in this case sadly. I suspect at this point Thailand just wishes this whole face losing mess just went away. So instead of a very public trial, with the justice system and the police being dragged in with their bizarre actions, an outcome where the couple skips, and the whole thing does the classic Thai " fade away" may work out best for Thailand.

Free tip for the police: check immigration records in Cambodia, as that seems to be a popular spot to

flee to after skipping bail. Also bump up the bail, and then you will get the Thai version of Dog the bounty hunter actually going out and tracking them down.

100,000 baht of tax payer money wasted. The officers responsible for releasing them should be fired - no doubt they were bribed!

Anyway, nice for the Karen girl to experience a little more Thainess. Not only was she abused by the Thai couple, she then had to watch while Thai police let the couple go, and then she had to parade naked in front of male police and reporters taking pictures of her!

Way to go Thailand - you must be so proud :-)

Whatever scumbag gave these scum bail needs to be punished - all so sadly predictable. Words do not work for these despicable life forms.

And just who are these sick XXXXX who are taking pictures of this poor girl????

Male Thai officials of course - Pantip ran out of DVDs

Finding the couple would be great, but personally I would rather if someone posted pictures and names of the officers and/or judges that were most likely bribed to let the couple go as well as the officers who sent the girl back to the couple the first time she ran away. They couple most likely won't be doing any more harm, but the officers and/or judges are likely to continue assisting many more bad guys!

This story is a true tragedy. What makes me equally as sad is the fact that NOT 1 PERSON has talked about trying to help this poor girl. While everyone talks about how tragic this is, I am off to Khampeang Phet in the next few days to donate whatever gifts I can to this poor girl and the foundation that is caring for her. If anyone else is in the BKK area and wants to help out, then PM me, the rest of you can continue in your bitter attitudes.

Perhaps they are police, social workers, lawyers, carers, or some other kind of people who could help the girl. They are almost certainly not the sick "whatevers" that you claim them to be.

Money, money, money......,,!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

The police had them in their hands, released those couple bastards on bail, and now, in the eye of (international) public, they're going for the arrest warrant scheme, to save face, of the bailouts they have granted those two ....

So the same police that have granted those two thugs bail, are practically telling: "dear public, you'll handle our case and we'll reward you with money, so we the police don't need to bother with that case any more.

For this poor little girl, THIS IS A CHEAT, do the police really look down on the intelligence of the ordinary people? Doesn't the police realize the couple may be on the run by now????

AMAZING JUSTICE, AMAZING THAILAND... This is beyond my belief....

cheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gifcheesy.gif

This is not intended to be funny...

So why did you include the "laughing" icons, you insensitive clown?

High Thai rewards. Does anyone know the reward for information leading to the arrest of the Ferrari Red Bull cop killer hit and run? Apparently he's escaped his warrants and the police seem dumfounded to track him down. In addition to the wrongful death of a police office, hit and run, there are numerous other charges for collaboration, drinking while impaired with alcohol and drugs, reckless endangerment, obstruction of justice. The reward must be much larger than the 100,000 in the above story.

How is any of that relevant to this report?

What has the girls pubescence or otherwise got to do with anything? What does the rest of your post mean? The "police would have handled this differently", if what where the case?

And you must be proud of yourself making up total nonsense like you just posted. She wasn't paraded naked at all.

You are missing the point, it does not matter if she shows signs of pubescence, it matters that she is 12 years old, and therefore most likely does not want to be paraded around naked in front of a large crowd of men with cameras. Unlike you I am confident the Thai police and press barely consider this girl human, she is not Thai afterall.

I guarantee you that there would be public outrage and legal consequences in my homecountry, if male officers were looking at or taking naked pictures of 12 year old girls for any reason!

There appears to be some reports not shown on this site, ie. the pictures of the girl being "paraded naked in front of a large crowd of men". This site shows one picture of the girl with the back of her shirt lifted up, that's a long way from being paraded naked and male officers "taking naked pictures of 12 year old girls".
