With increasing regularity, I'm seeing grown Western men resorting to fisticuffs over women.

Just last week after watching an impromptu bout between two fellas in a soi 11 club, I was informed by one of the managers that the guy who started it had apparently barfined a lass from Soi Cowboy, paid for a slap-up seafood dinner and secured a table at the club complete with an oversized bottle of Grey Goose and assorted mixers only to look on in disbelief as she spent an hour or two filling the glasses of newly-acquired fair-weather friends of the freelancing persusasion with his vodka and getting smoochy with a Mediterranean-looking Lothario.

The final straw, it seems, came when his "beau" was seen furtively fondling Fabio's lunchbox in a dimly-lit corner of the dancefloor. He laid one on the guy and a brawl ensued.

I stand to be corrected but my understanding is that paying a barfine simply entitles one to remove the girl from the bar for the evening. It doesn't guarantee coitus; even less so if one proceeds to whisk her through restaurants and clubs throwing cash around like confetti.

My question is what are these guys thinking? Are they simply keen to show off their acquisition to other men in a bid to evoke envy or are they expecting some kind of GFE (girlfriend experience)?

Well I can't imagine paying the barfine without feeling 100% secure in getting whatever it is you expect to get for it. In my experience that very rarely needs to be spelled out, and most smart and relatively yet-unspoiled girls are very keen to make the customer happy in the hope of repeat business.

But of course throwing tons of money around in advance of getting what you want shows you're a fool and the girls will certainly take advantage. IMO it's also likely she decided early on the guy was a jerk and she was hoping she'd be released early from her implied obligations.

Nonsense. You are the one who is naive. There are plenty of foreign men around Nana and Soi Cowboy who have been going there longer than some of the girls working there have been alive.
