Songkran In Bang Chang ?

I asked this question on another forum and was told 13th to 15th April.

Has anyone actually been on Ko Chang during Songkran and can advise what it's like? I live in Pattaya where it's celebrated (officially) from 13th to 19th April inclusive so always get out for the duration. In the past I've gone abroad but am thinking about a different destination for next year - preferably one where I can "hide" in the hotel grounds during the day.
