heard opta stats have said arsenal have won as many league games in 2012 at anfield as liverpool have. Is this true? And i think where up next so that will end soon if it is true as you raise your game for us.

Owen will be mindful that hearts and minds will be hard to win.

Footy fans are a fickle bunch. Put on the shirt and bag some goals and it goes a long way to forgiveness.

i would rather sign satan. i would have a very hard time getting behind owen in a liverpool shirt now.

You can rest easy Stevie. He's gone to Stoke for a year.

Sadly, that is true. I just checked. We did win at least five cup matches at home in that time, though.

We've won 2 league games at Anfield in 2012, out of a total of 11. Beat Chelsea and Everton.

Drew with Stoke, Spurs, Villa, and Man City.

Lost to Arsenal (twice, obviously), Wigan, West Brom and Fulham.

Why would Owen want to go back to Liverpool? the way Rodgers plays he is quite happy with the lonesome striker(Suarez)even if he is not a great goal scorer the problems arise when he is injured or banned, then the Liverpool fans will really start to rumble.

He has obviously chose Stoke because of playing with Crunchie boy for the knock downs,he could of gone to West Ham!

I see some of the tabloids now stating that in an attempt to get Dempsey we not only tried to offer Henderson on loan but also we went back with Downing and Enrique as possible exchanges.

If there is any truth in that - not good for squad morale to say the least!

Also heard a rumour that Assaidi the new signing can't play due to International clearance issues...

don't read the tabloids dev, you'll learn nothing of interest or truth.

not heard that about assaidi but since we've actually signed him i don't think there should be an eligibility issues around him. though given our usual professionalism when it comes to making signings i perhaps wouldn't be that surprised.

, I had some empathy towards how Rodgers and Liverpool handled the transfer window , the more i read and hear bout it the more its gone so Ive got to bite the bullet here and admit i got it wrong and stevie H amongst others was right, and seems the 'bulls up' aint gonna go away

If found guilty, wonder what the punishment could be , a fine?

Again, even here it's FSG who effed it up, not Kenny Rodgers..

On the day the story appeared on the FSG website, Rodgers admitted Liverpool had enquired about Dempsey.

"Clint is a player we've inquired about, it is as simple as that," he said.

"Ian Ayre, our managing director, has spoken with the club to see what the position is. That is where we're at. He's a very talented player but we don't like to talk about other clubs' players."

Earlier in the day a post appeared on the website of the company that owns Liverpool suggesting the Reds had "added Clint Dempsey to a team that came within a game of winning the FA Cup".

ian ayre seems to be great at sorting out marketing deals and establishing corporate partnerships around the world. when it comes to the nuts and bolts of running a football club and signing/selling players, he's a dangerous amateur.

i think there's even a screenshot knocking around from the liverpool website where someone had posted up the new season squad with dempsey in it. bunch of clowns.

Sick budgie (me) today so watched a fair chunk of Saturdays game again. It reminded me that I always thought you were likely to go ahead until we scored then I always thought you were going to pull one back, which of course you would have done if Webb had got the 2nd Mertesacker incident right (the pull back, not the toe poke). You have been written off too soon by fans and press IMO - not sure why you think you played pretty but inffective stuff. Created several chances and in many games you would expect one or two of them to go in. Stuart Robson on Sky thought you played well and hes a gooner too!

Liverpool dont seem to change the approach against strong counter-attacking teams when at home - sometimes need a slightly less expansive approach at the rear so that misplaced midfield passes are not suicidal. Same as us for much of last season until we got rid of Pat Rice

I think youll get by with existing resources until Jan and I hope to hell you dont get Drogbah (who must surely be intrigued by the possibility if he can escape his stupid Chines venture). In technical terms he must be the ideal fit with the likes of Suarez, Gerrard and Downing - snibber/holder-up/aerial power - would be a great piece of theatre.

There were some international clearance issues but he's gone to Morroco now- groin injury but he should be involved later this month.

You wouldn't know it - StEWart Robson takes every opportunity he gets to have a dig at Arsenal, and no Gooner I know has any respect for the gobby ####.

That's why he's no longer welcome on Arsenal TV.

think stuart robson is about one of the best pundits around myself. actually analyses games instead of just talking depressed <deleted> like lawrenson and his ilk.

I know he played for the scum an all but I quite enjoy listening to Gary Neville. Ex player, knows exactly how it is. When it came down to the Suarez handshake thing he said yeah sometimes players don't like each other, big deal. Unfortunately the media made sure it was the centre of attention. Ironically everyone seemed to miss the fact that Evra initially lowered his hand when Suarez was moving to offer his.

Didnt know that. His comments on the game were the only thing worth watching on that channel.

So you mean we have now appointed a yes man for Arsenal TV? And that's a good thing?

Nothing to do with irony that people missed the fact that that the angle of Evra's arm moved down by about 10 degrees, but to do with the fact that whatever the angle, Evra's arm was out and his hand was open, and directed at a man who was found guilty, in case you missed that bit, of racially abusing him. In that sort of situation, Suarez should have simply farking shaken the hand being offered, either that or told his manager before he took to the field that this was going to be a problem for him so that the manager could find a way of avoiding all the media shitstorm that Suarez inflicted on not only himself, but on the manager and on the club.

He wasn't found guilty of racially abusing anyone.

Liverpool's Luis Suarez has been handed an eight-match ban and a £40,000 fine by the Football Association after being found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra.

Not in a court of law under the jurisdiction of her Majesty.......by a panel under the jurisdiction of SAF's jesters doesn't really count.

on the balance of probabilities. so, not proven beyond doubt at all then.

It counted because he missed eight games because of it, and whether or not you agree with that is irrelevant and doesn't change the fact that your claim: he wasn't found guilty of racially abusing anyone is a lie.

I guess Nelson Mandela's 27 years in prison counted, whether I agree with that or not is irrelevant but if I did agree I'd be a liar tongue.png

From Suarez to Mandela. Deary me...

I guess, why admit you were wrong when you can dream up a ridiculous nonsensical analogy.
