Bar End Mirrors

Featured Replies

I am surprised how many folks I see using bar end mirrors these days

Anyone here using them?

If so what do you think of them?

On the one hand I can see they would be in a good line of sight

On the other of course it would widen your bike & hamper cutting between cars

Just curious what folks who use them think.

I dont think they look good at all on sport bikes

but have seen more & more now that they have the Z style ninjas & monsters of course

I've seen them and don't like them much. I live in Bkk and they are not really practical for heavy traffic. Like you say, they widen the bars too much when I already have enough trouble with the stock mirrors.

I have bar end mirrors on my bike (ER6N). This is the 3rd set of mirrors I have had on the bike since removing the stock mirrors & they are by far my favourite.

I agree they don't look good on sports bikes but defiantly suit naked type motos.

The bar ends I'm using simple flip back in when I split the traffic (bkk) then when I have some open road in front of me I simple flick either one or both mirrors back out.

Using a set of "CRG Lanesplitters" with the 7/8" bung adaptor.

Have a couple of sets of Rizoma mirrors in mint condition if anyone's interested PM me.

they are to wide for me too in Bangkok but they offer perfect sight and if i am not living in a city, i might consider them.

I ran bar ends on my SR with straight drag bars and whilst the rear vision was superb I simply could not cut through the traffic with them so I now have conventional mirrors but under the bars, rear vision is pretty decent as well.

Mirrors aren't very useful when all you see is your arms! Since riding scooters I turn my head a lot more.
