Philips Sonicare Electric Toothbrush Repair Centre?

Featured Replies

I have a Sonicare toothbrush that is less than a year old, and it is not recharging. I took it to Amorn Electric (repair centre) in Chiang Mai and they are unable to repair it, nor get new batteries for it.

I was wondering if there is a repair centre for this product in THailand. When I purchased the toothbrush in America, I read that it worked on both 110/220 but that seems not to be the case.

It was a pricey purchase, and I don't feel it should break and be unrepairable when it isn't even a year old yet.

It is dual voltage since the base charges the battery. I seriously doubt if you are going to get it repaired here in Thailand, since I have only seen the Philips Sonicare in Central Department Store

I don't know if there is a Central in CM, but if there is, I would go and ask there, they might know of a service center in Thailand or you could call Phillips in Bangkok and maybe they help:

THAILAND Philips Electronic Thailand Ltd. 26-28th floor, IFCT Tower 1768 New Petchburi Road Khwaeng Bangkapi , Khet Huaykhwang Bangkok10320 Thailand Telephone: (66)2-6528652

I had one that stopped charging also.

Put it on the charging stand and tilt the toothbrush slightly but don't tilt the stand. Does the charging light come on?

Mine would charge that way so I just shimmed the base so the toothbrush has a little angle.

Strange but simple solution. I guess just not conducting properly at the default angle.

I don't think that they sell them in Thailand.

Best bet is to buy on Ebay (with overseas shipping). Under warrenty in the US, they would send you a new one.

As mentioned placement on charging stand can be critical for some units and grim build up could effect that. I would not expect the battery to be bad this soon. What exactly is printed on the charger (they all must have voltage range listed).
