Thai Driving Licence Ok For Uk

Featured Replies

this has proberly been talked about before, just found out that as a uk non reident i can't renew my uk driving licence after searching through the dvlc web site i found that i can use a full valid thai driving licence for 12 months in the uk

thats saves 20 quid renwing the uk one.

there is approx 5 million uk non resident's, assuming they all cant renew, that means a loss of 100 million quid to the uk well done british goverment maybe you should give lessons to all the terrorists in how to bring down a country, and thank for saving me 20 quid

so do you have a 5 year full Thai DL ?....yes you can drive for 12 months in UK, however if you do happen to have a full current UK license and the BiB in the UK find out your using a Thai DL..then you could in trouble

You can only use your 5 year Thai license as a British national IF you are a non resident AND you do not posses a current UK license.
