Ran a couple of 2.5 wires and 2 earth wires in a small duct. Very tight fit and had to belt the cover to get it to go on over the wires. Is that OK, or do I need to replace it with the next size larger ducting?

Thanks.

You're probably over the intended fill ratio of the duct. The tighter cables are packed together the warmer they will get and will need de-rating accordingly.

Taking a pragmatic approach, what is the actual load on those 2.5mm2 cables? Anything under 10A continuous I would not be worrying.

Thanks Crossy. As it's easy to change the ducting, I'll pick up a larger size next time I'm at Global House. They certainly make life easier- no spending ages clipping cables.
