IsaanUSA
IT cafes that charge 1 baht a minute- what idiot would pay that anyway? What? That sounds reasonable to me. 60 baht per hour in a largely tourist town.

diggerdo
Isn't it now fair to say that after 180 plus posts, most of the 'gripes' on here are not just Pattaya related but could be found in any part of Thailand, in fact you will find similar problems in most major cities in the world, ( apart from the smell of course, Pattaya definitely has it own special aroma). Therefore one can now draw the conclusion ; 'Pattaya ROCKS !'
hands22
What really grate on me is a walk down Walking Street and seeing family with young kids walking around, talking photos, smiling as if this place is the most natural place to bring your kids along. Sometimes I wonder if Walking Street is the Disney World of Pattaya!

MrZM
This is still going on as well. How can you have complaints in Pattaya. What more could you want from a city....
DiNiro
What grates me is the all night, open air karaoke bar in Jomtien, Theprasit Soi 7and the worthless police & staff at the Pattaya City Hall hotline # 1337. How do the nearby developers at the The Maldives, Dusit Grand Park, Laguna, Zen Condominiums expect the buyers to get any sleep I wonder???? Buyers beware! That sounds reasonable to me. 60 baht per hour in a largely tourist town. You are obviously their target clientele then. Plenty of places all over at 30 baht/ hr, and the best one I've seen in Pattaya at 25. Up north I get it at 10 baht an hour.

The baht bus drivers would soon see off any free shuttle buses, just as they have destroyed any attempt to provide a proper bus service in Pattaya. thaibeachlovers
having been back on holiday for a week now, things don't just "grate" on me. Any attempt to walk around soon reduces me to apoplexy. Just as well I don't live here now, as I'd probably die of rage at the tossers that destroyed the Pattaya I knew and loved.

tropo
Not enough of those rich beautiful young Russians parading in swimwear inside Central Pattaya Beach Mall (actually buying stuff at those frou frou stores). Some do, but not enough. Life is not fair! ___ People on the Pattaya forum that whine about people whining. Hey, you're on an expat forum. Do you kvetch about too much water when you're swimming in a pool?!? I'm not Russian, but I've bought a lot of stuff at those "frou frou" stores. It helps to have a wife who is a dedicated follower of fashion though - something you don't have to concern yourself about. If you're really into fashion, there' s nowhere else to go. Popular Post Awohalitsiktoli
This cheerful post is from Awaholitsiktoli. Things that grate me about Pattaya: Crime and associated violence; worst of the worst people from Western countries and parts of Thailand migrating here (but some are good); horrible traffic (at least during the high season); alcoholics and mentally ill people all over the place; people abusers; filthy beaches; no American style Chinese food; no American style smoked BBQ, no decent spagetti and meatballs, overpriced pizza, horrible Mexican food, no Greek style gyro; people pollution (just too many people in a confined area); over-development (insane); mafias running many venues; corruption left and right; overabundance of cheats, liars and mind-gamers; boom-trucks all over playing very loud music; and too many signs in Russian.
TexasRanger
It's annoying when I go for a relaxing massage and those very forward young ladies "accidentally" touch me. I usually give them 20 minutes to cut it out.
