We are thinking of hiring a Nurse to help for a month or two with our expected addition to the family in November. Does anyone have any recommendations as to any good nurses, agencies or what the going rate of pay would be? All help would be greatly appreciated. My Wife is Thai BTW. smile.png

Nurses are a good idea and I believe that the salary is better as a nanny. It is worthwhile asking the nurses at the hospital where your baby is born. We would have chosen that option, but for the fact that we need someone to do the maid duties as well. Best nannies come from recommendations. We have hired 20 + nanny/maids over the last 7 years and so many of them were completely useless, even those that came from nanny centres. Often they have no experience whatsoever. 50% of them were completely flakey leaving after 4 hours or walking at in the middle of the night, bag in hand. Thais, Burmese, Cambodian, Laos. All the same. The best nannies we hired were Thai.

With our baby who is now almost 10 months my wife, MIL, big sister and myself looked after him. He was shown genuine love. IMO the best "nannies" are in house
