Yer a peely wally lefty rij! laugh.png

Fuc politics smokes, the Guardian is the best newspaper on the market.

Think "internet site" rather than newspaper. However I was joking....and agree with you. The Independent has slipped of late.

I tend to trust only the BBC nowadays for breaking stories.

Yes i agree. Its certainly the best for football, very good, although i think Barney Ronay is a tit. The rest of the football journos are amongst the best

Volume wise 4 footie the time's isn't bad, but it is just volume as opposed to quality. However

Seems there's going to be a new ish 'power base' in the south of France,

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2013/may/26/falcao-transfer-monaco-medical

How are the allowed to do deals and medicals before the 1st of July?

it's <deleted> really this. two billionaires fancy playthings in their paris and monaco hangouts and the french league goes completely to hell. monaco spend 120m on three players, players get tax-free earnings too. there's that boss financial fair play in action again.

No different to Chelski and Man City tho'. Only this time Platini (and his relatives) is in their pocket. FFP will die in the womb!

Talking of Monaco, anybody know the other two teams that have won a different country's top League? No googling (yeh Fat Chance!)

yeah Scuze my ignorance but dont the fair play rules apply in any way to monaco?

Unfortunately not.....Monaco new owner = Russian. .....PSG new owner = Qatar Investments

................................World Cup 2018 = Russia..... .World Cup 2022 = Qatar

Gentleman responsible? Platini = French Vive La France......Why else do you think the World Cup bids went the way they did

Despite National Team success, Ligue 1 has always been considered 2nd class in Europe compared to the usual suspects. Platini's goal is to break the English/German/Spanish/Italian stranglehold and his plan appears to be well in place. Any bets FFP will now be delayed/amended now that the big money has moved to his own country? After all, his own son is now working with Qatar Investments at PSG.

I see that La Ligue's new found wealth has already gone to the Lyons chairman's head. Wenger reported as showing an active interest in Lyons midfielder Clement Grenier. Defending Chairman, Aulas, thinks that the French u-21 international is worth as much as Goetze.

Yeah - good luck peddling that line mate. Top rates of income tax for high earners UK 45%, France (pending legislation) 75%.

Platini urgently seeking tax exemptions for sports personalities? Otherwise slush fund route to be called up?

Chelsea are supposed to be buying Rip Van Winkel from Vitesse!

Marco Van Ginkel is a young starlet, 20, but this one plays for Holland. He is a CM and will cost £8m. Other than that I know nothing about him.

Ian Holloway back in the EPL, more entertainment value interview side.....already says Moyes will be sending Zaha out on loan to Palace again

I think his actual words were that he would love to have Zaha back but Moyes would be silly to let him

I like Holloway, ultimate motivator.
