My wife, her friends and her family have gotten used to taking antibiotics for a few days then stopping when feeling better. I am currently in the states and am just finishing up a 10 day IV treatment for a bad infection and my wife wondered why for so many days. I am looking for a good article written by a Thai doctor for her to understand why it is important to take the full course for antibiotics. I believe, BTW, in Thailand the duration is often 5 days rather than 10. More reason not to stop short.
