Samsung Galaxy S3

Featured Replies

Hello, please where can I order online, for delivery in Thailand, a Samsung Galaxy s3?
Thanks

I brought this phone called an Ipro S3 direct from China, have had it 6 months and it works great. It is exactly the same as a Samsung S3, the samsung covers even fit it. The only difference is the price, it cost me less than 3,800 baht. There other brands in Thailand offering similar products in most shopping centers, k phone is and I net is another. I don't know about the other phones as I have never had 1, but mine is spot on.

It also holds 2 sim cards which is useful.

It is not exactly the same, no 3G, 4gb of memory, 1gb dual core cpu, 1200mah battery, 2 MP camera.

In other words it is a stereotypical Chinese knock-off.

This site lists prices available at various shops, you need to check the details or better yet, have a Thai check for you:

Those are grey-market units which carry certain risks - no warranty repair/service/repalcement. Probably factory seconds that could not be re-worked - typically cosmetic issues but also out of spec at final test, were supposed to be scrapped by "fell" into the side markets.

FWIW, I noticed yesterday at Jaymart, a national mobile retailer here, that the SGS3 was on sale for 17,000, perhaps as a tie-in to the Mobile Phone Expo?

No 3G (at least) in this day and age makes it a dinosaur of a phone!

Do you think it is OK if I order from here?

Where do you live? Only you can trade off the currency, shipping, duty, tax, price, warranty issues.

Personally, I would always recommend buying from a reputable source, in the country where you spend the bulk of your time.

nobody wants the rest of my stock then? hahhaahahahahaha

My Z10 Shatberry is in the drawer doing sweet FA if anyone wants it.........

Sometime in the past year on this forum there was a thread where the OP inadvertently purchased a Samsung phone (or maybe it was a tablet)at a non-authorized dealer in a popular upscale shopping mall. When the device had a problem and he took it to Samsung service, he was denied free repair under warranty.

It turned out at the point of sale, he had signed a document (written in Thai) that he assumed was a warranty registration when it actually turned out to be a waiver.

All this is to emphasize that if you are going to spend beyond B15,000 for a phone, spend a thousand or two more and purchase only from an authorized dealer.
