Thai Visa App. Uninstalls

Featured Replies

I have been using the Thai Visa app on my Galaxy S2 for some time now without problems.

However, about two weeks ago I went to open the app. only to receive a message that the app. wasn't installed.

I downloaded the app again and a few days later it vanished again.

Today exactly the same thing happened.

Anyone else have this problem?

I also noticed that i keep receiving a lot of adverts in my notifications. I realise these come because of an app but I haven't downloaded any apps for a few months.

Can you go to Settings, Apps, take a look at what is Downloaded, Running. Anything look dodgy there?

Maybe Clear data and Clear cache for Thaivisa Connect Thailand, the uninstall the app. Restart the phone, re0install the app from the Play Store.

Do you use Titanium Back-up? (requires a rooted phone).

Had the same problem. Last night Phil Connors advised me not to install it on the external sd card. So far so good, will report back once problem reoccurs.

It hasn't been uninstalled again but last time there were about two weeks in between the uninstalls.

I tried looking at what apps were running and was surprised to see how many apps were actually running. There was one which I downloaded recently which is related to the camera. I have a feeling it's that as I have also started receiving a lot of adverts now.

(Bloody irritating with all the ads... I wanted to download the BTS/MRT app but read it caused ads)

I can't remember whether it's installed on the SD card or not but I'll check when i turn on the phone.

Another strange thing happened yesterday..... Recently I moved all my apps into folders thus reducing the number of screens of apps from 12 to 2. I went to use the camera and it hung for a while forcing me to reset the phone. When I turned it on again all the apps were removed from the folders and I had 12 screens of apps again.

It must me the camera app! I'll unistall that tomorrow and see what happens.

We just released a new version of the Android App. This issue should not happen again we hope.

Cheers

I had the same problem. Every time I went to look for it, it was gone.

After manually moving it from the SD card to internal storage the problem was fixed.

I believe they have released a new version which doesn't suffer this fate.

Has happened to me once or twice on my tablet running ICS. Clearing the App's data/cache didn't help....but by turning the tablet off and on again the App would work OK. And I think it happened once on my Samsung Ace 2 smartphone...same fix...turn device off and on again.
