KHON KAEN: A 16 year-old boy used a one metre long wood log to attack and rob a monk at the Khon Kaen train station yesterday.

At the train station, police found 65 year-old Phra (Monk) Wanchai Jittasiwaro of Anthawan Temple, Nongkhai province. He was reported to have been assaulted by a teenager using a wood log, and then mugged of his B1,800 he had in his posession.

Not long after police identified the suspect, police were able to catch the culprit. He was identified as a 16 year-old from the area who was neither studying or working. Police have now taken him to the Khon Kaen Police station where he will be formally charged.

Don't kid yourself, many monks have more money than me or you.

saying that the young lad is in for some serious beatings, must have been desperate for money.

THE solution is to become a monk.-wai2.gif

Well, I guess the lad just relieved the monk of something he was not supposed to possess in the first place.

Sorry, I couldn't help it. LOL

Not only a monk but somebody considerably older than himself and possibly somebody he thought would not or could not defend himself. And then used the wood to make sure. What hope is there for a thing like this to grow into a useful member of the community ? Stupid question i know .

Ever heard of sarcasm?

Should one say "bad karma"... for the monk? :D
