Hotel Or Club Barber In Bangkok

Featured Replies

When I was up in Seoul I was a regular at the barbershop at the Westin Chosun hotel where a simple haircut was an amazing grooming experience.

Each team of manicurist/pedicurist/massuese/barber worked from a private cubical with a pull down blind. You would start by changing into a flanelette PJs and then sit in the big barber chair. A girl comes in and washes your feet in a sink, then does a pedicure while another comes in starts on the manicure. After the pedicure is done that girl reclines the chair and gives a straight razor shave, not only to your face, but also nose, ears (inside and out!), forehead, eyebrow outline etc. After the shave the two girls give a full body massage on both front and back including hot towels nothing 'improper' though. Finally a male barber arrives and without any discussion or conversation proceeds to give you the best most precise haircut you have ever had while one of the girls is finishing off with a foot massage. After the haircut and straight razor shave around the edges, the barber tilts the chair foward and washes not only your hair, but your entire head and face, including hosing out your mouth. Finally the whole experience ends with the barber drying and combing your hair. The whole process takes around 90 minutes and is incredibly relaxing, though expensive at arond US$100.

Now that I am in Bangkok I am looking for something similar. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

So far I have had no luck, but I can't believe that the same level of service I got in Seoul is not available in BKK.

I assume there must be a hotel or club with a barbershop that offers that type of service. Any leads would be greatly appreciated as Seoul is a long way to go for a haircut!

regards

Andrew

Nothing like it that I have seen here .... good luck
