Thanks TBB. Well it appears after another visit to the hospital that the wife is having Braxton hicks. For those that dont know what that is, they are practise contractions. We were told these could go on for a couple of weeks But saying that the midwives have all said that the dont think it will take that long, and they are expecting him anytime now.

So i feel i may of been a bit premature in starting this thread, as it could still be another bloody 2 weeks Will keep you posted though on whats going on.

Thanks Russ. You aint missing much tough mate, another false alarm. Both me and the wife are getting pissed right off now with all this waiting.

hmm aparently some rumpy pumpy is known to induce labour or if you arne't up to it a spicy indian meal has been known to do the job too.

Thanks for the advice Miss Boo. Rumpy pumpy just isnt natural at the moment. Having my son moving around just isnt a turn on at all. Seeing elbows and hands moving around, just makes the thougt of rumpy pumpy, THE most unnatural thing in the world.

As for indian food, she is eating chillis by the bag raw and they aint helping either.

She is blaming it all on me anyway, she says i told him not to come out the other day when she was annoying me. I had a quiet word and told him to hang in there and give her a few kicks and jabs in the ribs, and thats exactly what he has done. So i guess we will just have to wait

Hmm.. according to childbirth stories I've heard, the lady is prone to .. ummm... releasing their bowels... so an Indian meal may not be advisable...

A few hours ! My Xwife was in labour for 22 hours . I still have the scar's to prove it .

Now that is a long time, but if he takes after his dad he wont take that long to come. More like 5 minutes, and thats on a good day.

Jeff your not the only one pacing around, i reckon i am developing a bloody ulcer because of this baby. Certainly lack of sleep, everytime she moves i am awake, and the baby aint even here yet.

God we are getting bored with all this waitng.

I suggest you try to get as much sleep now as possible as once the kid arrived you aren't going to get any for, oh I don't know, say 18 years at least

Have the rug rat in Thailand, book in for a Caesarean and have it over and done with in an hour or so, she stays in the hospital for 3 or so nights and you get some freedom to booze it up at all the local (and not so local) establishments.
