Mind you all the news is in Thai, but then you expect all the visitors to be fluent in Thai.

If you cannot read it then try the main Immigration Web Site

which is much better. However this still does not give the financial details for long stay visa extensions.

You may want to have another look at that website. Last time I looked it has english translations for every document listed which works out well because you can print it off and take to immigration with you when you have a problem.

Pattaya site is very poor compared to the central one.

I cannot see the forms that you are refering to.

You select the English version on the left hand side menu bar and then the items come up for what topics are listed. Which currently stands at:

Sorry for the capitals it is a cut and paste from the website.

So, from here you pick which of the categories you are interested in and select it and the "rules" are there in English. If you now have a problem, print out the Thai version (just go the Thai option and select the same category number) and the English version and take them to immigration with you so both you and the officer can look at what you are talking about.

Have just tried the Pattaya site.

The numbering English / Thai is not the same.

When printing documents I have 10 clauses in English, 18 in Thai (or 5, depends which page you click on).

When they get their act together, it may be worth using.

Sorry to have taken so long to get back to the differences between the Thai and English versions of the documents.

The official version as to the differences is that he thai verison has a lot of repetition in the clauses and these were omitted for the translation. The comments about the differences have been duly noted and when the new legislation is in effect in July and these get redone, the problem will probably be fixed.
