I don't think they way they left him out to dry over the "Slow" Lloris concussion thing bodes well.

Having said that I think Martin Jol has to be favourite to go, possibly as soon as this weekend if they lose to Wet Sham.

I forgot about the concussion drama. Yes, not handled well from beginning to end and AVB looked like a manager who wasn't managing. It also looks like the locker room might be harboring a number of malcontents. Unless Spurs start winning right away I think AVB is close to gone. Nice fellow but he seems to be a step behind on all fronts these days.

I don't really want to see Chris Hughton sacked, but I just wish, as many Norwich fans do, for him to be more attacking.

3 goals all season away from home with a lone striker

AVB teetering on the edge ? And if he goes, who would Spurs bring in ?

JD, to be fair its only the media thats saying this. Its what Joe Lewis and to a slightly lesser extent Daniel Levy think thats relevant. I do agree that in the mad world of football its possible that he could be sacked but i have to say i'd be deeply disappointed after our points tally and cup progress.

Are we saying that a heavy defeat away to the title favorites, and a goal drought after 12 games but 20 points, (4 off top four) deserves the sack? This is the coach that achieved our highest ever points tally may i remind you also.

Thinking logically it would be ridiculous to sack him and self made billionaires tend not to be mugs.

I think that one of the main problems that AVb has is with the tabloid brigade of football writers which ultimately stems from the fact this he has a far more urbane with his English than they are, he's paid a fortune and still younger than most of them too. Its called envy. In Adrian Durham's case is simply called being a complete and utter bell end

All noted. I wouldn't argue with any of your points. Seems it will boil down to what Joe and Daniel were expecting and whether they can stomach the lack of goals and any more ugly losses. Particularly the losses. More of that and I would think AVB might be cut loose.

Good teams have bad days....if we lost 3-0 to the likes of Palace or Stoke then the press might have some reason to call for his head....but City were clinical....the team made some bad errors and the situation in attack...well that is the real problem now for us....its up to AVB to fix it....and the chairman to give him the time and help to do that.

If you spend the money as Spurs have then you would expect them to have scored more Yes they have had 2 bad results 3-0 against the Hammers and Sundays 6-0 against City but its a cut throat business and ENIC will want to see the results improve as at the moment they dont look anything like a top four team.

Have to agree with you about Jol. Fulham look dreadful.

But, do yourself a favor and leave out the "slow" Lloris stuff because you know thats simply bolocks talk for jealous goon s who have to put up with the dog average, yet nonetheless gobby sausage roll who's name no one is even interested in remembering .biggrin.png

Theres no substance any of the paper talk. Thats all it is. The purveyors of the poison pen, deciding who they are gunning for this month. Theres no substance to dressing room discontent. Were four points off the top four.

Self made billionaires do not listen to shit bag journos, the likes from comics the Star, Scum, Mail etc They are pragmatists. Yes there will have been a harsh inquisition after such a horrendous performance but then we'll just get on with it.

We have 10 games in december followed but United away on new years day. It would be farcical aside of being patently unnecessary to sack our manager.

None of you ABT'ssmile.png out there seem to be able to look at the bigger picture, choosing to focus on a bad result and a current lack of goals, whilst happily forgetting our 20 points, knockout europa qualification and quarter final capital cup.

talk of the sack seems to be the second attempt to undermine him by the press since their initial attempts and all because we sacked their beloved cheeky chirpy cockney, good for one liner, thieving old crook wobbly chops henry Redknapp

Well, Sam the masticator is hot favourite at 7/4 to be next.

Chris Hughton 3/1

Malky Mackay 5/1

AVB 8/1

David Moyes & Gus Poyet at 16/1 (interesting duo)

Everyone else looks OK

"Sack the manger" they all cried.

Well managers don't give the ball away, make ill judged, timed passes, defend poorly, fire of a shot when they should pass it and fickle owners ,so called fans ,media lap it up and direct there frustration at mangers rather than players

Steve Clarke made the mistake of over achieving last year,he's paid the price.

Newcastle fans wanted Pardew out a while ago ,last month he got the "manager of the month" award.

Roberto Martinez took Wigan into the Championship now he's a class manager, as Everton are on a run.

The self appointed "special one" is struggling to beat clubs where one of his players weekly wages would pay the whole oppositions weekly salary bill.

"Wenger out" was the cry not long ago ,wont spend money ,been there too long, and they are still leading the competition.

Are Fulham any better off ?

Its a load of <deleted>.You can prepare a team correctly, motivate ,lay out a strategy, make subs ,have a half time chat but once the players cross the line its totally out of a managers control.

In my 20 year playing career I can never remember a Coach/Manager costing us a game.

I don't know, I remember Juande "We'll win the league" Ramos being a diabolical failure at the tiny totts, and thinking "He should stay there a long time".

Cardiff have already spoken to four people about replacing Malky Mackay!!!

Malky Mackay seems to be next on the list, according to the Guardian. Resign or get sacked.

http://www.theguardian.com/football/2013/dec/19/cardiff-city-malky-mackay-resign-sacked

disgraceful this. vincent tan shouldn't be allowed to own a football club, he's mental.

and anyone give me odds that the established currently employed manager he has lined up to succeed mackay is 'onest 'arry redknapp?

It would seem that the Malaysian <deleted> has backed down.

This might have somethingto do with it (copied from eerrrrr somewhere that cannot be named)wink.png

Ee May Lee, The Malaysian Insider

At a time when our Prime Minister touts that the government is doing all it can to curb our spiraling deficit, it seems puzzling that they were more than eager to splurge RM15 million to aid Vincent Tan in his sponsorship for Cardiff City.

Furthermore, when queried over why our government was willing to waste RM15 million of taxpayer’s money on this, Tourism and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz stated that the deal covering one season would help the ministry gain global “publicity and public relations” benefit and to attract high-end tourists from the United Kingdom and other Western European nation s to Malaysia.

However, instead of achieving the latter, Vincent Tan’s latest stunts at Cardiff City only brought embarrassment to our country. With Twitter trends like #TanOut, a huge lambast by Liverpool FC manager and even non-Cardiff City fans protesting against Vincent Tan, this debacle serves to smear the name of Malaysia more than it has to aid it.

The first action by Vincent Tan that angered the Welsh fans was changing the club's crest and jersey colour from blue to red. Vincent Tan does not understand what football means in British culture. It is not merely a hobby or an interest as it is in Malaysia. To the British, football is a serious way of life, a sense of belonging and an integral part of an association.

What Vincent Tan did by stripping away the blue and replacing it with red, and changing the club's crest to a dragon was entirely overturning the very identity of the club. He showed absolutely no respect for the culture, history and interest of Cardiff City FC and its fans.

He might have no respect for the taffy fans, but losing face with his HiSo peers in Malaysia over his actions must have an effect!

Meulensteen gone from Fulham and replaced by Felix Magath.

Wonder if Moyesie will start looking over his shoulder. Return of the Manure dream team of Fergie and Rene perhaps?whistling.gif

laughable that. he was a stupid appointment anyway. fulham are going down. and their fans thought the bloke who bought the michael jackson statue was mad.

Not with his 5.9m euros p/a 6 year contract he won't. Oh, and then theres all his back room staff.whistling.gif

Actually, with the way its going, and if it continues the like, they are going to have to write him out a big fat cheque aren't they, and no champions league for the first time in twenty years an almost certainty.

From all accounts, Magath is supposed to be a bit of a nutcase so expect more entertainment from SW London!

Jefferson Farfan stated he "would rather work down the Peruvian mines than play for him ever again" and a recent Lewis Holtby quote: "I wouldn't have a problem if van Gaal came in. After all, I've survived Felix Magath, too"

Wonder what Holtby is thinking now???facepalm.gif facepalm.gif facepalm.gif
