Hua Hin Floating Market on fire Saturday night

PRACHUAP KHIRI KHAN, 4 November 2013 (NNT) – The Hua Hin Floating Market in Prachuap Khiri Khan was on fire for over an hour on Saturday night.

Reports said the tourist attraction, the Hua Hin Sam Phan Nam Floating Market, was on fire for an hour. Ten wooden shops, selling souvenirs, food, and drinks, were all burned. As the structure was a Thai traditional wooden building, the fire spread quickly.

It took firefighters over one hour to put off the blaze. It was reported that the smoke were seen at around 8.30 p.m., when the market was already closed. The floating market usually closes at 7.30 p.m. and visitors and shop keepers would all leave at 8 p.m.

One of the souvenir shops sold lighters and gas lighter guns, which made the fire spread faster. Officials have been inspecting the area for the cause of fire and assessing the damage.

Or maybe the shop keepers were against the Amnesty Bill ?????????

Then again, could have just been a normal fire :)

No water at the floating market?
