Where to buy long stemmed dried or artifical flowers, reeds etc?

Featured Replies

DIL wants to put together a big pot of long stemmed dried or artificial flowers, reeds etc for the (indoors) entrance area of the house.

Any suggestions of good places to buy, hopefully with some variety?

All suggestions appreciated.

Long stemmed dried flowers and reeds can be found and are sold in bunches at Kad Luang, facing the river. One seller has everything. Her shop is one of the last on the right close to the Chinese temple as you are heading towards the P.O., Narawat Bridge, etc.

The cheapest and biggest selection would be at Ban Tawai; there are several shops with some great ideas for displays. they also sell as a made up "display"...great if you have an open back truck!

Also a few shops in the Bor sang market area, again cheaper than the city shops....well BT and Bor are probably where they themselves buy from.

small displays, like orchids on a block can be found on the supermarket night markets, the sat/sun walking streets; some look really authentic and are good value, but most look like the plastic and paper they are made from.

good luck; its a poncy subject, and credit to you for being brave enough to ask
