PATTAYA: -- On Friday Night officers from the Police Region 2 Child and Women Protection Unit arrested a former senior health official who had opened a clinic and claimed he was a fully qualified medical doctor, an accreditation which does not exist.

Officers conducted an undercover operation at a clinic in the Pong area of East Pattaya and were served by Khun Juta aged 59, who prescribed tablets to the officer at a cost of 50 Baht.

As soon as the transaction was completed, other officers moved in and arrested the owner of the clinic who was found to be a former Commissioner of Health Management Level 6 under the Office of Public Health in Chonburi Province who left the position in 2004.

Nothing wrong with that....every government official thinks they are qualified....and they aren't!

We should not be too surprised by this topic

just another pretentious Thai

So "qualified medical doctors" don't exist in Thailand? Hmmm...

That would be correct nearly all the time.

And many Ph.D's are not what they make out to be. A certain lady could help you to shop though.

i know the guy,his office is next to the bridge to Kau makai

He's there for at least 10 years,

He gives everybody at least 15 pills,

Strange really, the guy apparently had an overseas PhD in political science.

Thailand probably didn't fit the mould on that.
