Saturday 13th March

Charity Run / Walk to Raise Money to buy wheelchairs for disabled kids.

Organised by the Irish Pub & Fish and Chip Shop (both Ratchawitti Road - Chiang Mai)

Tickets 500 baht (all proceeds used to buy wheelchairs)

14:30 hrs transport from Irish Pub.

15:00 hrs Run starts at the Agricultural Centre. Seperate scenic walk for the less energetic.

For your ticket you get a T-shirt, a buffet dinner at Irish Pub later in the evening and lots of free beer. There will also be plenty of raffle prizes.

All T-shirts, prizes, food etc are sponsored by Chiang Mai Companies.

I'm not actually involved in organising it, but I know some of the people, Sandy from the Irish Pub and can reassure everyone that it's a genuine charity deal. All ticket proceeds are going to buying wheelchairs for disabled kids.

51,000 Baht was raised and donated to the Disabled Childrens Centre. This was used to provide wheelchairs.

With the success of this event it is hoped to make this an annual charity run.

Thanks to the organisers, Sandy from the Irish Pub and Kiwi who hangs out in the Fish and Chip shop, also to the sponsors who provided food, beer, T-Shirts and soft drinks so that all entrace money could be donated to the kids.
