Hay all you Pattaya goers ,Having stayed in ptty before on a number of occassions i thought it would be a nice change to actually visit Jomtien ,who knows if the night life is as good on the other side ?

You surprise me .....after staying in Pattaya "on a number of occasions", you still haven't tasted the flesh pots of "the other side", aka Jomtien? It all depends on what you are looking for, doesn't it? There's plenty "from the other side" if that's what you are after...nudge nudge wink wink!

Also, there are bars, go-go bars, excellent international restaurants (Bruno's, Mata Hari, India by Nature, Manhattan's have all relocated to Jomtien). There is one bar in Jomtien Complex Plaza that carries the alias "The No Knickers Bar"...but you have to find that one yourself because I have never been there

However, Jomtien does NOT have cinemas, shopping malls, large supermarkets, transvestite cabaret shows, parking problems or traffic chaos. Try it...there's more to Jomtien than a 'quiet drink'.

It took me 1 hour 45 minutes to get from The hanuman Statue to Soi Chiaphruk last weekend, beleive me that was traffic chaos.

Yes, most people who travelled daytime along Jomtien Beach Road had a similar problem. Maybe you should have gone via the back road from Hanuman to Soi 9. Anyway, these occasions are limited to 'long weekends' and, as the OP was related to night life in Jomtien, compare the traffic in Pattaya and the parking opportunities there with those of Jomtien at, say, 10 p.m.

I've been told that the game is "Pool in the nud_e" but the customers do NOT play...but they have to dodge the cues being twiddled by naked maidens only a few inchs from their seats!!!

The Las Vegas is on the first interior lane of Jomtien Plaza with a prominent sign on Thappraya Road.

This is quite a unique place for a number of reasons.

The uniform of the day for the gals of Las Vegas is two strips of elastic cloth, no bra, no knickers.

The owner has just up-graded his pool tables, adding a second. For a mere 200 baht, you can attempt to win at pool against one of these ladies as she shrugs off the cloth bands and plays you in the buff.

Las Vegas has a lounge area in the rear of the bar. If you are not interested in pooling-around you can fool-around to your heart’s content there. For that same 200 baht and a drink per gal, they will draw the curtains around the sofas and slip out of their duds as well. There is a small (very small) dance floor with pole for them to loosen up on.

The music in Las Vegas is another reason to visit. While it is not the most dance-able for the gals, it is 60-70s light rock, folk-rock. Makes for easy conversation and background while you enjoy the company of the ladies.

Short time arrangements are readily available with large aircon rooms with full shower/toilet in the room. One of the best maintained around Pattaya.

Unlike other bars, that tend to have major mood swings with staff changes, Las Vegas seems to maintain a level of consistent service whoever is working on that day. Customer satisfaction is almost guaranteed.

Yes we really need sexy bars in Jomtien, I for one like to chill out after a stroll amongst the cultural delights of Jomtien.

Does upmarket have to mean uptight? I would particularly like to see an upmarket bar with model class girls that would strip off for a game of pool and be up for some diddling in a curtained off area...sounds like paradise.

I've been there a few times...but not in the past year.

Selection not very good then, but still a fun place.
