Yep. About 250 km and 3.5 hours by car.

I'm driving from Hua Hin to Kanchanaburi later this evening and onto this new border crossing tomorrow or Tuesday.

I've never been there before so I'll make a short holiday out of the trip.

I went to Ranong once before and it's a much longer journey compared to this one. Plus it rains for something like 8 months of the year in Ranong.
