RJ45 Ethernet cable ,long length, anywhere in CNX could make?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know where in Chiang Mai I could get 40 Mtr length

of RJ45 Ethernet cable,I suppose it does not come in that kind of

length and would have to be made for me.

Do not know much about computers, so would the signal travel

that distance OK or not.

Thanks regards Worgeordie

don't know about the signal over 40 m but we have a 20m one (ish), the local satellite shop did it for us

walk around pantip plaza. Might have to ask a few shops but I have seen large rolls of cable there.

if its made right 10base-T or 100base-T is good for 100 meters without data loss.

Category CAT5/CAT5e/CAT6 cable are all good to 100 meters. If planning on Gigabit ethernet, than recommend CAT6 else CAT5e is fine. You can probably get one made at Kitti Electronics or possibly Amorn.

That's right. The "accessories" shop on the second floor, across from goodspeed, made one for me a couple years back while I was waiting. I am not 100% sure of the length, but think it might have been around 40m.

I am not using that cable anymore, so if op wants it and wants to wait two weeks till I'm back in CM, he can have it.

the shopping Plaza near the corner of the moat between Gaat Suan Keow mall and the petrol station on the moat will make them.

The stall left of the door nearest petrol station makes them while you wait, cheap too.
